SUPPORT SALFORD FOODBANK THIS HARVEST

The recent cost of living increases has seen our local Salford community needing to use the Foodbank services more and more. Our foodbank parcels include 3 days worth of nutritionally balanced food; we cater for special diets, plus offer essential toiletries and sanitary items, baby items and pet food when required. We have welfare o cers at most of our Foodbank centres to talk about money worries. Each month we are helping around 1,600 people.

We are so grateful to everyone in Salford for their continued support in donating food, money and their time to allow us to continue our service.

Please Support Salford Foodbank This Harvest

Harvest is traditionally a time of year when local communities hold a festival of thanksgiving, celebrating the harvest and food grown on the land. More recently it is a time when schools, churches and other community groups come together to donate food to people facing hunger and poverty in their local community.

We expect the number of people needing support from Salford Foodbank to remain high throughout Autumn and increase going into Winter. If you can, please support us by making a Harvest donation perhaps through your children’s school, your church, or donating at our supermarket collection points. Or would you consider arranging your own harvest event? Every item given is packed into a food parcel to distribute to those in need.

Contact us for our harvest resources including posters and shopping lists.
