St Marys Sports Update

The New Year has been really busy for St Mary's Sports. I couldn't be more proud of our X Country runners. Geng out of bed to travel to cold St Albans for a run on a Winter Saturday isn't everyone's cup of tea. But they showed incredible spirit and fight to finish each race against Herordshire's very best runners.

To qualify for this race, the children had to finish in the top 20 in North Herts, which is an achievement in itself. To have them finish in posions of 14th, 15th, 25th etc in races with 100 true athletes from their own respecve district is an unbelievable achievement and something they should all treasure for the rest of their lives.

Congratulaons to our Indoor Athlecs team as both our boys and our girls team won the event against the best of Hitchin to qualify for the District Final aer half term. All of them were absolutely amazing and thoroughly deserved to win.

We took 27 children to the District Dodgeball event in Letchworth, playing 21 matches, winning an incredible 20 of them, resulng in St Mary's becoming Champions.

Our children have also enjoyed netball and swimming events (thanks to St Francis for hosng), and we've also had 3 football matches here at St Mary's. We have a lot more sport to come! - Sco Hagland
