“THE WORK OF THE CHURCH IS NOT SURVIVAL. SHE EXISTS TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION.” BROTHER ANDREW, FOUNDER OF OPEN DOORS
GOOD STEWARDSHIP We are so incredibly thankful for your ongoing support for this ministry. We praise God for what He provides for the persecuted church through the local church. In 2015 Open Doors Australia raised $5,723,186 as a ministry. We wanted to share this full breakdown of our income distribution to show you that every cent has value, purpose and impact. We’ll continue to work tirelessly to ensure that we’re good stewards of all God has entrusted us with. VISION Our entire income for 2015 was provided by a small, passionate supporter base of 9,000 people - an incredible achievement that strengthens the persecuted church. Our desire is to see the number of active supporters, people willing to carry the burden of the persecuted church increase over the next 2 years to 17,000 by the end of 2017. Its what we’re calling - “17x17”. With God’s help, we believe this is achievable and as a team we’re excited to partner with you on this journey.
FUTURE MINISTRY & INFRASTRUCTURE In 2015, our income exceeded our expectations and we were able to more than fully fund our commitment to the field. This generosity has allowed us to make wise investments for future field projects and the ministry in 2016, whist also investing in long term infrastructure. So that as our ministry grows we are better resourced to meet the increasing needs of the persecuted church. A TWO-FOLD MISSION We are motivated by Jesus and for Jesus. We believe the stories of the persecuted church are transformational for the local church in Australia. This is why part of our ministry is to awaken the church in Australia not only to the need, but also to the message of the persecuted church. To be bold, unashamed and passionate followers of Jesus. This is a ministry not only for the persecuted church, but also for the local church (see pg. 3 for more information). To see our full financial statement visit: www.opendoors.org.au/2015impactreport
