Park Assistant Principal Bryan Martin. “It’s a kind of camaraderie with the other male staff members that have been doing it as well.” Oak Park Instrumental and General Music teacher Zachary Borquez participated by accident. “I typically don’t shave at all on the weekends and so come Monday, someone’s like, ‘Oh, are you doing No-Shave November?’, and I said, ‘I guess so!’” Whether accidentally or on purpose, the faculty is determined to raise money and awareness for this cause. “Mr. Buchanan, he ac-
CSUN will offer a two credit course for Sophomores and Juniors in September of 2015: Introduction To Engineering. The class promotes the development of study, communication, problem solving, design, analytical, and computing skills. Moreover, the course introduces students to the Internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentational software. As computer science teacher Eric Amerikaner explains, “This course is an introduction to a college level course, half online and half in the computer lab. It will help you get familiar with a computer, and help you get introduced to college courses.” The course will be held on the OPHS campus, and through online course lectures with a CSUN Professor. The labs for the course will be held after school on Mondays or Wednesdays. The entire course costs $30. Only, this issue is not brought to the public’s attention through pink ribbons – rather, through mustaches. “The Movember Foundation challenges men to grow moustaches [sic] during Movember (formerly known as November), to spark conversation and raise vital funds for its men’s health programs,”
