OI China PRAYER LETTER April 2014

“Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the Lord needs them”. ~ Matt 21:2-3 (NIV)

Praise God for His provisions. Though we did not have enough funding, OI China committed to respond to the government’s call for help and extended our services to the poor villages in area of Chengzi Lake. In thanking OI China’s willingness to help the local government offered an office for us to use. The mayor even donated his own office furniture upon our arrival.

Client Zhou Jianping (1st on the left) runs a small pig farm. As the market price of pig came down quickly, after the wake of re-emerging H7N9 bird flu, Zhou was anxious that he could not find enough helpers to sell the pigs quickly. In order to save him from the crisis, in a weekend, 3 of our co-workers in Huai’an, Gary, Kyle and Dean, volunteered and rescued him from the loss.

Praises & Thanksgivings: Praise the Lord for granting us the approval from the Provincial Government of Jiangsu the rural microcredit company license for Xuzhou City and the approval for continue to run the financing guarantee business in Anhui Province. These licenses are of very special favourable terms which cannot be granted to us if it was not for God’s grace. Thank God for the wonderful provisions and guidance. The new OI China Board of Directors and the Network supporting partners held their first ever meeting in Hong Kong on 2 March. Prayer Requests: Pray for the audit of 2013 accounts. Thanks to the Ernst & Young in Shanghai for conducting this audit for OI China on pro-bono basis again. This is the fifth year of their good support to OI China. Pray for the victims and their families of MH 370, the flight that is missing. May the Lord comfort their hearts. Pray also for the search and rescue team. Please pray for our beloved brother and Chief Operating Officer of OI China, Jensen Huang, as he has been overloaded, unwell and working under immense pressure for a long time and needs to stay in hospital for some examination.
