OI China PRAYER LETTER December 2010
"Commit your work to the Lord, and then your plans will succeed." ~ Proverbs 16:3 (NLT)
On 1 November, the Board of Directors of OI China and OIHK held a Joint Dedication Service for the newly established Opportunity International Hong Kong office.
An official visit by the Secretary General for Financial Affairs of the Jiangsu Province, Mr Wang Quan, and Chairman of OI China, Mr Geoffrey Kells, visited our operation of OI China (Suyu).
Praises & Thanksgivings: •
Praise God for the new office of OIHK. The boards of directors from OI HK and OI China jointly held a Dedication Service at the new OIHK office (17/F, One Lan Kwai Fong, Central, Hong Kong).
•
Thank the Lord, on 3 November, during their visit the Jiangsu Provincial Government announced that they approved the application of OI China (Suyu) to serve the whole of Suqian City. This means that the total service area of OIC grows from 1.25 km2 to 8.55 km2 and the residents of the service area increased from 700,000 to 5.26 million. The OI China’s license expanded 7 times! This approval came as a recognition of the service quality, job impact and its contribution to the welfare of rural community of OIC.
•
Praise the Lord for the donations received during the month from YAO New York, brothers and sisters and their related businesses for OIHK and OI China. The team gives our heartfelt thanks to the support of the brothers and sisters in Christ. This is also an evidence of the effectiveness of our OIHK team.
•
Thank God for the loyal service of our VP Finance, Ann Lin, for the last two years. Due to personal and family planning reasons she needs to leave from this post. We ask God to continue blessing her and wish her well. At the same time, we thank God for sending Albert Chen to us. Albert will take over from Ann, as our VP Finance. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the financial and investment banking fields.
Prayer Requests: •
As we continue to grow in our services to the local poor and expanding our service areas by seven times, we ask God to continue providing us with more faithful and professional co-workers.
