OI China PRAYER LETTER May 2010
“O Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.” ~ Psalm 117 (NIV)
Friends and sponsors from Taiwan joined the Insight Trip in Suyu recently. Amongst many clients, they visited the artificial flower factory of Mr and Mrs Sun Chao’s (6 and 7 from the left). During the three-day visit they sang praises and offered good wishes to every clients they visited and spread joy and love amongst OI China clients in Suyu.
The artificial flower factory of Mr Sun Chao employs more than 80 underprivileged people. Most of his employees are living below poverty line and/or could not find work elsewhere. 90% of these people are unskilled women and they are all very grateful that Mr Sun provides them work opportunity.
Praises & Thanksgivings: •
Praise the Lord that the Board Meeting held in HK between 11 and 12 April went smoothly. OIHK welcomes our new board of directors and their support to localising our operation in the region.
•
Thank God that the OIC April Insight Trip received 8 brothers and sisters across the Strait. It was a warm and lovely experience. The visitors showed their strong passion towards the clients of OI China and brought love and joy to every client and household they visited.
•
Thanks to our Lord for His provisions. Our dear brother and sister, Josh and Beth Ruyle, completed their service with OI China during April. May the Lord continue to bless them as they move on to serve Him in other places.
Prayer Requests: •
Pray for the comfort from God to the victims and their families of the major earthquake in Yushu, Qinghai. The 7.1 magnitude earthquake killed 2,064 people as the statistics counts. Please pray for the rescue workers and government officials while they help the orphans and homeless to settle in the midst of the crisis.
•
Please pray for the preparation of the OIC Internship Program and the 2010 Summer English Camp. May the work of this summer be a blessing to all participants.
•
Continue to ask God for more co-workers to join us in OI China as ‘the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few’.
