OI China PRAYER LETTER November 2010 "It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others." ~ Ephesians 2:10 (LB)

The Directors of OI China and OI Hong Kong visited the Good News radio broadcasting station in Taipei during their brief visit at end of October. After the Board meetings, they also visited a local church and its gospel centres in various suburbs of Taipei.

The New employees of OIHK and OI China met with our clients during their induction in Hefei and Suyu. (From left to right, Michelle Mak, from NJ, USA; Andrew Sprunger, from Washington DC; Wendy Lee, from Taiwan; our chicken farm client in Suyu; and Arun Makhija, from HK.)

Praises & Thanksgivings: •

Praise the Lord for a fruitful and encouraging Board Meeting held on 30 and 31 October. The Boards of OI China and OI Hong Kong reviewed business performances of both companies and the operations in Hefei and Suyu in China. The Boards gave thanks to God for His guidance and provision that the year-to-date job impact in China reached 14,950 at the end of the third quarter of this year. At the same time, the overall business in China is sustainable and made a slight surplus during this year.

Please give thanks to our God for His abundant and timely supplies. The Lord has provided us with three co-workers for OI Hong Kong and one for OI China during the month of October. As a result of the arrival of our three co-workers in Hong Kong we are able to officially operate OI Hong Kong as a supporting partner for the work of OI China and the region. A Dedication Service of OIHK is scheduled for 1 November.

Prayer Requests: •

Pray for the health of our co-workers and board of directors. Many of our directors and staff are sick due to the change of season and the sudden temperature drop in China. May the Lord heal them quickly.

Although we have new co-workers joining us, as we continue to grow in our services to the local poor, we ask God to continue providing us with more faithful co-workers.

It is forecasted that the weather of this coming winter will be extremely cold in China. OIC is preparing plans to warn our clients and teach them how to cope with this severe weather condition. Please pray for protection and safety from our Lord.
