OI China PRAYER LETTER October 2012
"Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvellous deeds among all peoples.” ~ Psalm 96:1-3 (NIV)
An Insight Trip was made by Mr Stanley Tan (4th right), Mr Paul Heiss, Chairman of OIHK (3rd right) and Mrs Lois Heiss (right) on 21 Sep. OIC client Zhang Miaowu (2nd left) lost his farmland when the govt. reallocated farmland in his hometown. He came to Hefei and started a packaging business in 2009. With a loan from OI China Zhang runs a factory that feeds and shelters 52 workers, including 2 disabled.
Mr Paul Stahle, Vice Consul General (centre), and consulate staff Ms Chen Xinrong (3rd left), of US Consulate in Shanghai visited client Li Zongju (left) on 5 September. Li and her husband grow vegetable and herbs in the rural Hefei and employ local farmers. Mr Stahle, on his first visit to Anhui Province, rejoiced with the local farmers upon their harvest of eggplant.

The OI Leaders Conference in Oxford was a great success. Praise the Lord for the opportunity for leaders of OI to get together and sharing the love of Jesus Christ. It was fantastic to see the brothers and sisters in Christ responded to the Lord’s calling to commit themselves to the wellbeing of the poor and needed. Harry Turner and his team ought to be congratulated and thanked for the job well done.
