OI China PRAYER LETTER September 2012
"Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.” ~ Psalm 95:1-3 (NIV)
On 2 August, Ms Camille Purvis Dawson (centre), Chief, Outreach Unit, U.S. Consulate General Shanghai, led a team of four visited clients of OI China. Ms Purvis Dawson was amazed of the positive attitude of client Mr Xue in helping fellow disabled to wake up from self-pity and re-enter into the workforce.
Mr Zhu Zuoliang, disabled due to illness since young, found it very hard to make a living in rural China. However, since he received a loan and training from OI China in 2011 his whole life changed. Not only rebuilt and expanded his pig farm Mr Zhu also recruited and trained up 5 unskilled workers to join his piggery coop.
Praises & Thanksgivings: •
Praise the Lord the YAO in HK enjoyed their recent gathering and fellowship in the midst of a strong Typhoon night. Reported by YAO leader, Jeanne Ng: “Despite the oncoming typhoon 8, a group of Young Ambassadors for Opportunity braved the storm to meet together in mid-August. Over some good food and drinks, we had a great time sharing updates of the work in OI China, reflecting on the Suqian insight trip that was held in May, and networking with one another. We also discussed our next steps of setting up regular meetings, hosting future insight trips, and revamping our current OI website.”

Thank God, the 5-week OI China Summer English Camp has completed with great success. Thank God for the interns and the wonderful sharing among the interns, our staff and the students. May the Lord bless the interns and grant them wisdom as they return to continue their studies after the internship program.
•
Praise the Lord for sending us four friends from the US Consulate General Shanghai on 2 August. Their visit has provided a valuable chance for more people to witness/hear about the great work of the Lord.
