How to Find Your Page in Google Each time you update your site or your blog, the first thing you want is to find your site in Google. If billions of people use Google every day to find new information, the chances that a tiny percentage of finds are high. Unfortunately, that’s not so well & not as easy to be found on Google. First, because there are many highly competitive keywords, which are difficult to classify in itself, But on the other hand, to be found, before you have to be in the Google index. It’s like if you want your business to appear in the Yellow Pages without paying. No, that’s not going to happen. To make your site appear in Google, it has to be indexed.

The basic indexing Before explaining you have to do for your site to be indexed by Google, you have to understand that it means the “Index” and “exploration”.

Robots and Spiders First of all, you have to know that Google, like Yahoo and Bing, has a “robot” or “spider” that explore the web pages. It’s like a little spy.

This robot, called Googlebot, going around the web, looking for new sites to explore and index. Googlebot is good that passes through your page, that’s what you want. Indeed, the techniques you will see later allow “call” this robot to this pass, scan and index your site.

Exploration In this “last” that makes the Googlebot is called “exploration”. For the Googlebot comes to your site, you first have to “invite”. To invite, you have to give a link pointing to your site. In the tactics that you see below you will see how to do this.

Indexing Once you go through your site, the Googlebot decide whether to index it or not. You consider the fact that Google has billions of pages to index new day, but it cannot index them all. Once the Googlebot sees your site, this will decide if your site deserves to belong to the exclusive (or not so unique) club of Google. If you see that if, then you indexed. Finally, once this happens, you will find your site in Google. (At the end of the article you will learn how to verify this.)

As index your website To make all this happen, you have several options. I recommend you use them all, at least initially, when your site is new, or if you have migrated to the new domain to another. If not, you can choose one or two of these methods to “enhance” the indexing process.

1. Create a Sitemap A Sitemap is a document format .xml which basically lists all pages of your website (or almost all). This document tells the search engines when your site is updated as often you want them to visit your site. If you want a Sitemap on your site, then you have two options. 

If you use WordPress, download the plugin XML Sitemaps. This makes you the Sitemap of all pages.

If you not use WordPress, then go to XML Sitemaps Generator and create one on your own.

2. Upload it to Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster Tools Once you have the Sitemap in your hands, it’s time to get on your account for Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster Tools. If you do not have an account, opened a/c. its totally free of charge. Once you do this, these tools will tell you how many pages found and indexed. I hope that the difference between them is small or zero, because it means that you have a good accessibility problem.

3. Climbed your URL to search engines It’s like going to the front door of Googlebot and say, “Excuse me Mr. Google, here’s my page, and tell me they are suits with your guidelines what you think. If you like, indexed or not? “ Some say it’s not right to do this, but to my knowledge, nothing happens if you do. You do not have to, but if your site is very new, try it. No you lose nothing. 4. Update your site with social networks Beyond all the benefits they may have, in this social networks case Googlebot help you say “whoa, if so many people are sharing this link, should be good.” Two things you have to consider: 

The Googlebot is always in social media, knowing that out there very good pages;

With a few people share your link is enough. You do not need more people for you to share; just 2 or 3 would be good, at least at first.

5. Use third-party sites for bots visit your page As said earlier, you need that others speak of you to stop by the Googlebot your site. One way to do this is by participating in outside blogs. Another way, is to ask any page that you mentioned , if you think it’s necessary. You can also ask to put you on their blogroll. The options are endless, as you mentioned, and it is natural, so good.

6. Climbed your site to a directory If your site is local (e.g., a restaurant), then local directories in your country or city, such as Yellow Pages. If your site offers ebooks, you can upload it to a directory of eBooks. If your site offers designs and graphics to a directory then you can use info graphics also. Well, do you understand the idea? The links that you get are not all good, but are necessary for the Googlebot pass your site.

We need to never forget this step, because without you could never position. But, as I always say, do not go crazy. With your common sense what you just learned, you get to find your site on search engines.
