HE only difference between the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, is in their names. APC is determined to do the things PDP did wrongly, with more intensity and insensitivity. Its politics of restructuring is the latest example. IT has become so enmeshed in the politics of keeping power, that it has forgotten that its campaign was for a Nigeria that works. APC appeared clear to have a clear mind about that type of Nigeria.

Stubborn fuel queues will linger By SOPURUCHI ONWUKA

espite claims by the government that it has invested huge funds to arrest the persistent fuel scarcity in the market, fuel queues persist in Lagos and neighbouring states. Field survey by The Oracle Today reporters showed that only very few stations operated by major marketers attended to customers between Saturday and Tuesday while a lot of retail outlets bearing brands of independent markers closed to customers. In some cases, the filling stations that opened to customers only attended to those coming for vehicle maintenance, lubricants and engine injector cleaners. The scarcity, however, provided opportunity for rusty mushroom filling stations with questionable meters and products to gain attention of motorists as they capitalise
