HE uncertainties over the winner of the 18 November Anambra governorship election increased after Sunday’s debate by five of the candidates – APC’s Dr. Tony Nwoye, AGPA’s Chief Willie Obiano, PDP’s Oseloka Obaze, PPA’s Godwin
Ezeemo and UPP’s Osita Chidoka. The Oracle Today, the Official Media Partner of the debate, had predicted a possible run-off before the debate. On Sunday night, each of the candidates came up with positions that endeared them to audiences that watched the debate live. However, not many of them would be among the 2.1 million registered voters on Saturday.
Their impressions are still useful in influencing the opinion of voters. The voters, through the debate had an opportunity of seeing the candidates, listening to them, and assessing them. “Winning a debate is different from winning an election,” some of those who felt that their candidates did not get high rankings on Sunday night
