NE of the raging absurdities about Nigeria is the growing acceptance that of life, human life particularly, is unimportant. The experience of the past few years is that the Federal Government jumps to the defence of cattle over human beings. Evidences of these abound. Our government unabashedly stands up for Fulani herdsmen and their cattle, deploying more attention to them than ordinary Nigerians.

the killers were foreigners, and that they were killing in retaliation for their rustled animals. OUR Constitution was written

The Constitution is beneath them. They only evoke it to remind us that their existence is at the instance of the Constitution. They are short of blaming their disrespect of the Constitution on the

F
ormer governorship candidate of Better Nigeria Progressives Party (BNPP) in last November’s Anambra State governorship election, Chief Ikem Ohanugo has described as “an illusion” the impression by Ndigbo that the presidency of Nigeria would be zoned to them in 2023. Chief Ohanugo who spoke during his interview with news-
men in Onitsha, Anambra State, said before one expects to get something in return in anything, there must have been an investment over time.
