Ihelp people feel better by improving their health through diet & lifestyle changes with a holistic, total body approach. I'm passionate about finding the root cause of a condition, rather than treating symptoms. I studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicine after suffering myself with IBS, hypothyroidism, PCOS and fertility struggles so I feel confident helping people with these conditions, amongst others. I am working at The Bay Wellbeing Sanctuary on Fridays (www.atthebay.co.uk)

The body is a delicate machine, especially for women due to hormonal balance. You should consider gut health, exercise (don’t underestimate walking!), alcohol and sugar intake. Many foods have “hidden” sugars such as bread, cereals and some plant-based milks such as oat milks. Unmanaged blood sugar will cause a sugar rollercoaster and sweet cravings, so start your day off right to include protein with breakfast. Sleep and stress will also have an impact on weight as will thyroid and hormones.
QWhat supplements should I take?
Lorna, Brentwood A
Supplements aren’t always necessary but if needed it should be in conjunction with testing and a nutritional plan, otherwise you could be wasting your money. Having said that, vitamin D is something we should probably all be taking. It is vital for bone health, immunity and mood. But please always test, don’t guess! Liquid or spray versions are preferable over tablets.
