FIFA WORLD CUP
WHO’S QUALIFIED FOR
NEXT YEAR’S FINALS? ENGLAND HAVE BOOKED THEIR PLACE! Here are five other countries that will be making the trip to Rio in 2014.
BRAZIL (Winners: 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, 2002)
Automatic qualification as host nation. Skill and flair are always guaranteed when the Brazilians are about. Their awesome performance at this year’s Confederations Cup (Neymar and Paulinho particularly) leaves them in a very strong position to claim the famous trophy for a record sixth time.
GERMANY (Winners: 1954, 1974, 1990) Qualified as winners of Group C with 28 points (9W, 1D, 0L) A World Cup without Germany would be like a mirror without glass just plan bizarre. Let’s also not forget the 2012 all-German Champions League Final. Write them off at your peril!

GIVING OUR CUSTOMERS EVEN MORE
ITALY (Winners: 1934, 1938, 1982, 2006) Qualified as winners of Group B with 22 points (6W, 4D, 0L) Never a country to shy away from using the ‘dark arts of the game’ to help them progress, the Italians are in possession of some real talent. The one area that could hold them back is in attack. Can Mario Balotelli sort himself out and realise his potential? Only time will tell.
BELGIUM (Fourth Place: 1986) Qualified as winners of Group A with 26 points (8W, 2D, 0L) If you haven’t actually looked at Belgium’s squad, you’re in for quite a surprise. The Rode Duivels (Red Devils) have some real talent to call upon including Vincent Kompany, Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke. Great mix of strength, power and precision!
NETHERLANDS (Runners-Up: 1974, 1978, 2010) Qualified as winners of Group D with 28 points (9W, 1D, 0L) The Flying Dutchmen have never won the World Cup – could this be their time? They remain as attackminded as always with the likes of Robin van Persie, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Dirk Kuyt leading the line. Perhaps well worth a flutter!
