BEACHES ORIHUELA COSTA TOURIST QUALITY MARK
Orihuela boasts 16 km of coastline including 11 coves and beaches with fine golden sand. Thousands of national and international tourists choose our beaches year after year as their holiday destination. The privileged geographical location of Orihuela and its excellent climatic conditions mean that its beaches, water sports and golf can be enjoyed all year round. Our beaches are recognised and accredited with official certificates issued by the organisations and institutions which regulate quality control. Blue Flags, “Q” tourist quality marks, SICTED distinctions, Qualitur Flags and environmental quality ISO’s … A total of 42 awards distinguish Orihuela as a quality tourist destination with a high number of distinctions per kilometre of coastline.
Punta Prima Beach This is the northernmost beach along the Orihuela coastline. It stands out because of its innovative accessibility due to the fact that it boasts a lift directly onto the beach which permits access to the swimming area and which made it the worthy winner of the 2010 ECOPLAYA prize. Length: 234 m | Area: 6552 m2
Mosca Cove | Flamenca Beach A cove with interesting protected natural features and small in size, it is framed by two rocky areas which give it the feel of an enclosed bay. It has lots of deep fine sand. This cove is a unique coastal space which is linked to the neighbouring Estaca Cove by the coastal promenade from Flamenca Beach where an unusual sun dial is located. Estaca Cove | Flamenca Beach A quiet Mediterranean cove with fine golden sand, sheltered from the waves and swell. There are plenty of restaurants nearby to sample delicious food. This is one of five accessible beaches along the Orihuela coastline. Length: 175 m | Area: 7.350 m2
Cerrada Cove | La Zenia This is a cove of fine sand located within the La Zenia development with easy access from the N-332 road. It is protected by clis from which excellent views over the sea and the Orihuela coastline can be admired. Length: 167 m | Area: 3.507 m2

Bosque Cove | La Zenia This beach of fine sand has an accessibility point which is tended by lifeguards available to help people with reduced mobility enjoy a swim. The accessibility point is equipped with a specially adapted shower and changing room, amphibious chair, shaded area with sunshades and a central walkway which is wider than normal to enable wheelchair access to the beach. Length: 258 m | Area: 27.090 m2
Capitรกn Cove | Cabo Roig A cove of soft fine sand which is excellent for snorkelling as its transparent waters mean the shoals of fish are easily visible. It has a small central island (Carmen Island) which divides the beach into two bathing areas, one of which is shallow with calm water, meaning that it is an ideal natural swimming pool for little ones. Length: 152 m | Area: 6.992 m2
Caleta Cove | Cabo Roig Protected by the headland itself this cove has very calm waters. It is located at the southern tip of the Water Sports Marina in Cabo Roig. From this cove the Cabo Roig watchtower can be easily admired. The tower, which served to guard against pirate attacks in the 16th century, has been declared a building of cultural interest. 2 Length: 387 m | Area: 16.641m
Aguamarina Cove A calm cove located between the developments of Cabo Roig and Campoamor. Nearby it has a micro-forest of protected flora which ends in a rock and fossil beach more than 125 years old. A walkway between the rocky area and the beach itself links it to the Glea Beach. Length: 500 m | Area: 14.600 m2
Glea Beach | Campoamor Located to the left of the Sports Marina in Campoamor this is an accessible beach with excellent services and installations. The open setting of this beach is ideal for water sports and it has a wide and popular beach promenade as well as a diverse range of leisure and hospitality services. Length: 513 m | Area: 35.910 m2
Rubio Cliffs | Campoamor This is the longest beach along the Orihuela coastline and it is located in the Campoamor development. Its main appeal is the contrast between the red tones of the clis with the golden colour of the sand and the intense blue of the sea, which in this section of beach acquires a unique shade. Length: 655 m | Area: 30.785 m2
Mil Palmeras Beach This beach is located at the southernmost tip of the Orihuela coastline. It is an accessible beach with fine sand. The natural setting for the beach is framed by gullies which have paths oering views of the attractive landscape. Length: 346 m | Area: 15.570 m2
