A workshop space that encourages children to engage in drawing to think visually to create their own imaginative aquatic creature to go in our aquarium. The underlying lesson here is to show how drawing and illustration can be used as a tool to create and visualise. We will show our aquatic adventurers how then they can take a drawn idea and make it a reality. The workshop will consist of two key stations: 1. Imagination Station: Here the child is given a worksheet, containing some information/designs by us to prompt them to create something more unusual and to encourage their imagination to run wild. 2. Creation Station: This station will allow the child to turn their drawing into a 3D reality. There can be tape, pens, stickers (of our own creation) & a variety of recycled materials. Dependent on space available to us we would like to have a 3D aquarium area which we can curate and hang the fishy creations.

These sheets are for the child to create their own unique sea creature on through the power of drawing. They are helped along by some fun and creative prompts. We propose screen printing (1 pull, colourblend)tv these sheets for cheap production and to give it an exciting aesthetic and authentic feel, making it a unique thing for the child to take away with them. It is a fun reminder of just one imaginative way that drawing can be used to create reality!
