Little White Lies

This brief was a short relief brief during COP. The brief was simple- to depict the character of Carol in black and white.

I’ve never drawn a celebrity portrait and found this quite challenging, I spent almost three days on this one image determined to get it right . I’m quite pleased with the result, I feel like I caputured her likness well but it didn’t make waves in my practice.

War HorseAbandoned

This was more of an experiment than anything, on Patricks suggestion I tried sculpting with clay for the warhorse brief, I feel like if I had pushed this further it could have ended up really well but I feel the COP deadline was looming and my interest at pushing anything else further was occupied.

How to be a Woman - Abandoned

Another abandoned brief, I feel like this was dropped as soon as Bloop group came into formation. The idea was to make a pattern of facial expressions to portray the many feeling there are to being a woman. Now that I’ve found this again I will probably develop it further.

Digital Safari Animals

Along with my partner from Graphic Design we successfully submitted a bid for the end of year show branding, the concept (on my PPP blog) was my idea and it was ‘The Bright Young Things’ we were shortlisted with another group and unfortunately didn’t win, I was so annoyed about the whole thing that I barely blogged any of it and just put it to bed!
