Book Cover Development I began with ink y lettering and a sable rigger brush, I’ve found I can get more line control with a rigger then my usual filbert brush and the upgrade to sable has been worth it as less time between dips longer contact with the paper. I complied the left hand side image in photoshop with a simple primary colour palette, I want the tone to be a little grungy and subversive but with the charm of a picture book.

Book Cover Development Close up - I’m enjoying the messiness of juxtaposed with the clean white space, maybe this is a little too minimal, perhaps it could be pushed a little more to the messy, chaotic side?

Book Cover Development Bonas: This is a mistake I made when first creating the mock up but -I really enjoy the wrap around colour blocking, I ‘m going to experiment further with this.
