ART PARADE | SALTAIRE,UK | GALLERY & SALES ASSOCIATE | JUNE 14- CURRENT I single-handedly manage this independent craft gallery every weekend. Spread over two floors I use my interest and passion for craft and craftsmanship to inspire my customers and help grow their passions for the handmade. In our supply of jewellery and art prints I endeavor to learn about the processes behind their creation and materials used to help me give my best customer service. STARBUCKS | LEEDS, UK | BARISTA | APRIL 13- MAY 14 In this role I ensured prompt service by using an organised beverage routine and maintaining a calm and efficient demeanor during the many busy periods. I also drank my weight in coffee. KENNEDY ART | DUBLIN, EIRE | SALES ASSOCIATE | SEP 11- SEP 12 I acquired specialist product knowledge of artist materials, which ensured a high level of confidence when answering customer queries. I was the sole organiser of tutored workshops held within the gallery, this included sourcing and booking artists, promotion and customer organisation. I also coordinated gallery exhibition events that included, labeling and organisation of all artwork, entering artwork onto a database and assisting in hanging the artwork. THE ADELPHI/ THE DRY DOCK | SEP 08- SEP 11 I delivered pleasant and professional customer service with an honest enthusiasm for great food, wine and ale. I used a point of sale till system to delegate orders between floor, bar and kitchen. Delivering full table service to diners with a confident and enthusiastic knowledge of our menu. I also dealt with general domestic and account management.
EXHIBITION & CREATIVE INVOLVEMENT SHOWCASE SPECTACULAR | LEEDS CORN EXCHANGE | NOV 15 I managed a team of nine fellow students from various courses within Leeds College of Art for a period of 4 weeks to prepare for and present a successful group exhibition at this two day art and crafts event. OFF THE PAGE | COLOURS MAY VARY | MARCH 15 As part of a group exhibition with my second year illustration peers we organised a three week-long exhibition within the design focused independent shop Colours May Vary, the focus of which was the employment of traditional printing methods. My role was to organise the bar for our opening night and along with my four team members we successfully managed to secure drinks donations from Crabbies and ran a vibrant and popular pop up bar on our exhibitions opening night. VIVARIA | NORTH BAR | APRIL 15 I was asked to be part of this group exhibition at Leeds North Bar and was given a new brief to complete on the theme of ‘Vivaria’. It was a great opportunity to exhibit my work along side Artist’s whom I have admired, and to also meet more of the Leeds creative community. WORK IN PROGRESS | LEEDS COLLEGE OF ART | JUNE 15 As a fringe event to the third year end of year show at Leeds College of Art, first and second year illustration students were given the opportunity to exhibit successful pieces from thier year. For this event I worked in a group of five other students to design the vinyl wall stickers and posters. A high point was the selection of my own hand-drawn type as the main title vinyl for the exhibition.
