High Arch A high-arched runner, or underpronator, is more likely to experience shock transmission through the lower legs and should choose shoes from the Underpronator to Neutral categories.
Normal Arch Runners with normal arches typically experience minimal biomechanical problems and should select shoes from either the Neutral to Overpronator categories.
Flat Foot Flat-footed runners tend to have overpronating feet, which results in poor natural shock absorption. These runners should select shoes from the Overpronator to Severe Overpronator categories.
