Live music will return to Steam Pump Ranch this fall, where you can enjoy a concert in a historical setting with the spectacular Catalina Mountains as a backdrop. Steam Pump Ranch Second Saturday of every month, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Live music at 10:30 a.m. Join us at historic Steam Pump Ranch for an even bigger version of the weekly Heirloom Farmers Market! Second Saturday offerings include live music, free kids’ crafts, a Commerce Corral of vendor booths, and the Historic, Western and Americana Artisan and Antique Fair. There will also be Heritage Garden prehistoric demonstrations with Archaeology Southwest, and the Pusch House will be open for tours and art gallery viewing. Live music schedule: Oct. 9

Steam Pump Ranch Friday, October 8, 5 – 8 p.m. Bring the whole family to the fun and spooky 1870’s Steam Pump Ranch for a one-of-a-kind Halloween-themed event! We’ll have a pumpkin decorating station, Halloween crafts, games, and booths hosted by local organizations to provide games and candy. There will also be a cartoonthemed spooky maze, jumping castles, food trucks and a scary movie scavenger hunt. Please be sure to purchase your all-inclusive ticket for $5 from PlayOV.com. In addition to the free event, On Your Left Fitness will host a spooky 5k/10k timed run (fee applies), and a free costumed fun run for kids 12 and under! Steam Pump Ranch Saturdays, October 9, 16, 23 & 30, 7 – 9:30 p.m. Join us for one of the most unique Halloween experiences in Southern Arizona, as historic Steam Pump Ranch is overrun with ghosts and ghouls! Local/southwest ghost stories and legends of the past will be narrated and acted out along your hayride route through the ranch property. Oro Valley Community & Recreation Center Friday, October 29, 5 – 8 p.m. This family-friendly Halloween event features games, crafts, food trucks and a trick-or-treat lane (candy!) hosted by local businesses. A live DJ will keep the party going as kids have fun in their costumes. Event entry and candy are free. Food and beverages (including alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase.

Steam Pump Ranch January 1, 2022, 11:22 a.m.
Join the Town of Oro Valley as we kick off 2022 with the eighth annual Hot Cocoa 5k Run/Walk on New Year’s Day! The race will take place along the multi-use path, beginning at Steam Pump Ranch, and will include snacks, water and hot cocoa. This is a professionally timed race, and prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female winners and five-year age group categories. It’s a fun way for the entire family to start those New Year’s resolutions. Children 12 and under race for free with paying adult. Proceeds will benefit Oro Valley’s Round Up for Youth Recreation Scholarship Program. Fees are $25 before race day; $30 on race day. Free gloves for all entrants. Register at PlayOV.com.

EL CONQUISTADOR GOLF
The Oro Valley Community Center is a 52,000+ square-foot facility located in the heart of Oro Valley. The center features more than 50 fitness classes a week, a child watch area called the KidZone, a full suite of cardio and strength equipment, free weight area, two racquetball courts, aerobics spin bike room, yoga studio, six pickleball courts, 31 lighted tennis courts (Pusch Ridge access for premium members), two 18hole golf courses and a lap pool. The center also has reservable meeting and event space, a golf shop and full-service restaurant/bar. The center offers two membership levels as well as daily drop-in options.
The Oro Valley Aquatic Center is Southern Arizona’s premier competition-level facility. Amenities include an 18-lane Olympic pool, a six-lane recreation pool, 130-foot water slide, a splash pad, four springboard diving boards, rentable indoor and outdoor space, family changing rooms, shaded bleachers and rest areas. Both pools are heated year-round. The facility is also available for after-hours rental by private parties. The center offers a variety of memberships for the avid swimmer, someone just beginning, or families looking for a fun, safe activity. Memberships include access to several fun aqua fitness classes held weekly.
Tee off under the warm Arizona sun in the shadow of the dramatic Santa Catalina Mountains. El Conquistador Golf, which operates out of the Oro Valley Community & Recreation Center, boasts two championship 18-hole golf courses: the Conquistador Course and the Cañada Course. The 9-hole Pusch Ridge Course, located near the Hilton El Conquistador Resort, will re-open Nov. 1, 2021. All three courses provide challenging, exciting play that is sure to deliver a true desert golf experience, with course enhancements designed by the original architects Greg Nash and Jeff Hardin. El Conquistador Golf is open for public play seven days a week and offers a variety of individual, family and corporate membership options.
