OV Parks & Recreation secures two state grants
At Steam Pump Ranch: A $30,000 grant from Arizona State Parks will fund a Historic Building Condition Assessment of the Procter-Leiber House. The Town will contribute an additional $20,000, bringing the total investment to $50,000. This assessment will help guide future rehabilitation efforts. At Naranja Park: A $25,988 grant from the Arizona Game and Fish Department will support the installation of a new shade structure at the Naranja Park Archery Range. The Town will match this funding to provide additional shade for archers and a paved concrete pad.

Wildfire Safety Q&A event – VIDEO AVAILABLE!

On March 14, the Town of Oro Valley partnered with our friends at the Golder Ranch Fire District (GRFD) to host a Wildfire Safety Community Q&A at OV Town Hall. Wildfire experts shared fire prevention tips, home protection strategies, and results from a wildfire risk assessment of Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve, followed by a Q&A session. If you weren’t able to attend or watch the livestream, we’ve got you covered! A video of the meeting is now available. Just visit OVAZ.gov and search for: FIRE Q&A VIDEO

The Oro Valley Town Court Expansion is progressing. Phase 3 is now underway to complete all remaining interior work—including drywall, signage, ceilings, carpet, and painting. In case you missed it!

On March 16, the Town of Oro Valley, in partnership with the Oro Valley Chamber, hosted OV Community Night with the Tucson Roadrunners at the Tucson Convention Center. The event, which featured a ceremonial puck drop by Mayor Joe Winfield, showcased local businesses and community pride while supporting professional hockey in the desert.
