The Oro Valley Community and Recreation Center turned 10 on May 1! This popular facility offers fitness classes, cardio and strength equipment, tennis and pickleball courts, swimming, meeting rooms, golf and dining at The Overlook Restaurant. In March, the Town unveiled a new entryway and elevator to improve accessibility. To mark the milestone, Community Center members enjoyed commemorative giveaways and free ice cream and check out our feature videos on social media!
Oro Valley wins “Best of the Northwest” honors
Two Town of Oro Valley recreational facilities were voted top winners in Tucson Local Media’s 2025 Best of the Northwest awards. Naranja Park was named Best Park, and the OV Aquatic Center won Best Aquatic Center, in addition to Reader Recommended awards for Best Swim School and Best Place to Beat the Heat. Kudos to our Parks and Recreation team for this recognition!
Naranja Park splash pad is open for the season!
It’s time to cool off (for FREE) at the Naranja Park splash pad! To improve drainage and safety, improvements were made to sections of the concrete pad over the winter months. So get out there and enjoy yourselves while keeping cool under a giant tipping bucket that spills nearly 100 gallons of water every 10 minutes, plus spray features, a slide, artificial turf seating, and shade sails. The splash pad is open daily through October 31.
