The application was denied because of existing routes which were under exclusive rights protection. The new application was made for weekends where similar routes were not offered. ONG distance bus and coach services are regular and frequent, even to remote parts of the country. Buses are clean and modern with air conditioning, reclining seats, seat belts and bathrooms. HE bus is a good travel option in Finland with buses providing a much more comprehensive coverage than the rail network. Most long distance bus and coach travel in the southern half of the country can be booked through ExpressBus which is a consortium of 30 bus companies. ExpressBus operates 200 buses

covering the entire country (south of Rovaniemi). Eskelisen Lapinlinjat operate bus services primarily in Lapland and is your best option for bus travel north of Rovaniemi, although they do have a national network with buses running as far south as Turku and Helsinki. Tickets can be bought at bus stations, travel agents and on board the bus. Eurolines do not have any international services to Finland;
GPN Finland/Charter Finland is founded 1996. It has main owners and members. Its main owners are Bus Travel Oy Reissu Ruoti from Lahti and Lehdon liikenne Oy from Turenki. Both main owners are family owned coach companies in third generation. GPN Finland has 15 member companies to cover coach hire in Finland with 253 coaches. The €7.5 million order consists of 15 Astromega TX927 coaches built by leading European coach manufacturer Van Hool. The vehicles will operate on OnniBus.com’s new national network of intercity 14
