CAD/CAM The technical office is a strong point of the Gasco group. 3D drawings are provided prior to implementing a project. Therefore, before approving them, the customer is able to see the proposed solutions better and enter them in the layout of his own machine. The fact that the customer checks the dimensions and the interfacing eliminates problems that could otherwise arise during the installation phase. The advantages of the 3D drawings also apply to all parts that make up the feed unit, and in particular inside the container, as also the parts used to select the product are drawn. The structures, even complicated ones, are precisely implemented by means of specific processes such as spark erosion, laser cutting, and multi axes machine tools. The 3D drawing also makes it easy for us to obtain system repeatability and to replace worn or modifiable parts based on the different parts to be oriented. In fact, for containers in resin, the internal coil and pitch forms and dimensions are created ad hoc based on the part to orientate. We provide drawings in 3D; IGES, STEP, 2P, DWG, DXF formats.
videoconferences For customers who want to interact visually with our management, we offer videoconferences via a simple webcam connection. Being able to view the pieces to orient is certainly helpful in order to define a suitable feed system better and more quickly. Being able to see our feeders operate after they have been installed in our customerĂs production line helps us better understand any interfacing problems, and as a result offer the best solutions in real time.
overhauling We overhaul and check all of our products, also those out of production, and have spare parts available in stock. We restore or replace parts of worn pieces, making changes that improve the selection system if possible. In a short amount of time, we can replace the worn out or detached coating with material that is suitable for the pieces that are orientated. We have a wide range of surface coatings available with different surface finishes, thicknesses and hardnesses. We can also overhaul or make changes to existing systems, also from other manufacturers, either Italian or foreign.
support We have the necessary structure to quickly respond to our customers, both in Italy and abroad, who can rely on precise and consistent pre and post sales support. In particular, for complete units, we take care of installation, personnel training and system implementation. For us, customer service is fundamental, therefore we guarantee quick support operations. In particular, our technicians will arrive on site within two business days in the case of a production line stoppage.
applications
Medical-cosmetic sector Selection systems designed to obtain high speeds and reliability. Special care is required when feeding products to prevent them from being scratched and becoming opaque. For this purpose we use specific surface treatments and coatings, also with the use of feed systems other than the vibrating guider.
Packaging sector We design vibrating guiders with different types of containers that are optimally calibrated to perform at high speeds and with high loading capacities. Special solutions and measures (doors for format change, disposal of scraps and grit, dual thinning adjustment, etc.) guarantee precise counting and packaging, with a substantial increase in productivity.
Electrotechnical sector Food products are often light-weight and have complex structures that can become easily entangled. We design targeted solutions with dosage of the feed load or using selectors on linear and belt conveyors. Also the use of resin containers is effective for parts with smaller sizes and tolerances.
Mechanical sector In the mechanical and automotive field, parts are often oily, heavy, have sharp corners or must be checked (dimensions and quality). The use of special coatings and the use of elevators (plate, conveyor belt, chain, etc.) and dedicated display systems make it possible to obtain the best solutions.

vibrating bases
The vibrating bases on which the containers are fixed represent the motor of the system. The vibrating bases supplied by the Gasco group are distinguished by their above average level of reliability and safety, even after extended use over time and continuous, stressful production cycles. The use of high efficiency electromagnets and leaf springs enables high transport capacity that is independent of the parts loaded in the circular container. The wide range of models, from diam. 100 to diam. 820, enable reliable use for each container type and size. The only one in Europe, our base BVN8 diam. 820, makes it possible to use large capacity containers (cylindrical diam. 1000; cone-shaped diam. 1300; stepped diam 1500) and therefore the possibility to orientate large sized pieces. The supply voltage is 230V/50Hz single-phase. They require an electronic controller. Upon request, they can be supplied with different voltages and frequencies.

CONE-SHAPED CONTAINERS When defining the structure of the standard container to use, the structure of the part to orient and the type of selection to be made must be kept in mind. Our standard models are built in AISI 304 stainless steel. In relation to the special needs of the product to orient, containers can be implemented with different dimensions (external diameter, coil and pitch width) and different materials (AISI 316 stainless steel, manganese steel, resin, etc.) or coated with wear-resistant, sound-resistant and oil-proof materials. In general, the cone-shaped container has a good filling capacity and makes it easy to pre-select the part to orient. Recommended for thin and round pieces (washers, o-rings etc.) it comes standard with a dish at the bottom that positions the pieces against the wall. All models are made using specific moulds, using the spin forming technique, which permits optimal rigidity and geometric form. Special productions possible with dual or multiple way tracks.

CYLINDRICAL CONTAINER In general a cylindrical container makes it possible to have a diameter that is smaller than the vibrating base and therefore the use of external selectors that return to the bottom, suitable for pieces with complex structures at a high speed. This advantage is opposed by a limited filling capacity, which can be easily resolved by using an automatic loading system (hoppers, vibrating tanks, vertical loaders, etc.). Special productions possible with dual or multiple way tracks or coils.

STEPPED CONTAINER A stepped container provides an elevated filling volume, preventing the pieces from becoming stuck between the spiral tracks. In addition, precisely due to the containerĂs form, it makes faster feed speeds possible than with cylindrical and cone-shaped containers. RESIN CONTAINER The characteristics of resin containers are favourable for piece sliding and feeding. Due to a dedicated project design and the use of suitable machine tools, this container can be configured in a flexible and reproducible manner. The form of the container and the one or two way spiral can be created based on the piece to orient. Also the high speeds that can be obtained must be considered in addition to a significant reduction in the noise level.

RECTILINE The rectilinear feeders are driven by an electromagnet that feeds the pieces oriented inside the linear channel installed above the vibrating feeder. Generally used to connect the point where the piece exits the circular guide with the automatic machine press and handling station, it also acts as a storage unit, guaranteeing a continuous and regular feed. Supply voltage 230V/50Hz single phase. They require an electronic controller. Upon request, they can also be supplied with different voltages and frequencies.

VD MODEL LINEAR FEEDERS The VD model rectilinear vibrating feeders are used in dosing and transporting different types of bulk products (fruit and vegetables, foodstuffs, mechanics, plastics, etc.). They are generally used in weighing and packaging sectors in combination with single or multi-head scales and require an electronic controller that makes it possible to vary the delivery capacity also during operation (manually or with the PLC). The VD models are particularly suitable for transporting entangled parts that get stuck easily using vibrating hoppers with a variable capacity based on the pieces to be transported. The tray-type vibrating hoppers used together with the linear vibrating model (VD) are available with variable loading capacities and, upon request, with different dimensions and volumes. They are provided with an adjustable gate, which enables outlet dosage. Upon request, they can be supplied with supports or support benches and with an internal polyurethane coating. The hopper channels, which are installed above the vibrating feeders, are available in a standard and special version, depending on the material to be transported or specific application requirements. The AL1 and AL3 models are especially suited when a significant front protuberance is required due to dimension or measurement requirements and to feed the fixed hoppers. ROLLER GUIDER FEEDER Used for orienting small sized parts or parts with varying diameters (also only a few tenths of a millimetre). They are driven by an asynchronous single-phase motor. In addition to the standard model, versions with different roller dimensions (diameter and length) can be supplied upon request. Supply voltage 230V/50Hz.
CONVEYOR BELTS Dedicated for transporting oriented or bulk pieces, they are available with different types of belts based on the pieces to be fed. The length, width and feed speed can be varied based on customer requirements.

BELT ELEVATORS Generally used for loading the vibrating guides, the motorised belt elevators feed various types of parts in bulk, also those that tend to become entangled. They are driven by a ratio motor and can be positioned with a slope that varies between 0∞ to 45∞ depending on the requirements. elevators
CHAIN ELEVATORS These are used for lifting different types of parts and consist of a hopper and a belt or chain in plastic or steel that picks up small qualities of material and lifts them to the outlet. They are suitable for reaching an elevated outlet height and a significant delivery capacity. In addition to loading vibrating guides, they can be equipped with one or more vibrating linear devices in order to select and orient the fed pieces.
The dimensions related to the loading and unloading height, the belt or chain and the hopper capacity must always be assessed upon project planning with regard to the specific requirements.

SLIDING PLATE ELEVATORS These are used for lifting and dosing different types of parts and consist of a feeding hopper and a series of plates that pick up the material and lift it vertically to the outlet point. Equipped with one or more linear vibrating devices with possible return chutes, they are used to select and orient the fed pieces and transport and accumulate them with a storage unit function. Implemented with pneumatic controls, they can also be supplied in a motorised version upon request.

CONTROLLER AND ELECTRIC PANELS FIXED FREQUENCY CIRCUITS These are stabilised circuits that were specifically designed to regulate the vibration amplitude of the vibrating devices (circular or linear). They are provided with a suitable circuit for a smooth start, with the possibility to select the ramp time (0.2 sec/2 sec) and operate either at 50Hz or at 60Hz. They can be controlled manually or via a PLC. Their main features also include a wide range of extremely linear adjustment and the possibility to shut off the vibrator during normal operation, using a live or potential free on/off contact (0-24 vdc). In addition to the above described basic circuits, there are those that control the electronic sensors PNP/NPN, which can manage a part flow failure with a relative alarm. VARIABLE FREQUENCY CIRCUITS These are used to optimise vibrator operation, searching for its resonance frequency and eliminating a long and difficult calibration process. ELECTRIC PANELS Our product range is completed by the electric panels, which are customised for operating systems such as: PLC controlled, motorised or vibrating circular, linear, hopper systems.

LEVEL INDICATORS The level indicator signals if pieces are contained in the vibrating guider or not. It enables to activate and deactivate the loading systems (vibrating hoppers, elevators, etc.) or to send luminous or acoustic signals. These signals inform the operator that the container is empty and that it needs to be refilled. It consists of an aluminium casing, a flexible rod that activates a proximity sensor, which is appropriately supported and fixed on a support bench or plate.

TOO FULL/EMPTY DETECTOR The detectors signal the presence of pieces in the accumulation channels, turning off the upstream feed system. In addition to checking the maximum load (too full) of the linear and accumulation channel, it can also be used to check the minimum load (too empty), pointing out an anomaly in the feed system. It consists of a forked photocell or reflex or barrier sensors from leading manufacturers. They are provided with fixing rods or plates.

COLUMN/BENCH SUPPORTS We also produce column supports and benches that support various components (circular and linear bases, controllers and electric panels, aphonic insulators, etc.) The column backguards are made in aluminium with a slotted, adjustable support. All the types of supports, plates and benches can be implemented in carbon steel, in anodised aluminium, and painted with the requested colour.

ISAD NOISE INSULATORS These are built to minimize the noise of the feeding systems in compliance with current regulations. In addition to noise reduction, noise insulators protect against dust and dirt and protect the system against possible tampering. They have an aluminium structure and panels that can be implemented in transparent plastic or insulated material based on the applications and degree of noise to reduce. In particular, the circular models suitable for reducing the noise of the vibrating guiders have smaller dimensions and have a transparent cover for loading operations (Cod. ISAF). The rectangular shaped insulators are designed for environments where acoustic insulation is required in combination with easy adjustments and/or manual interventions.

COATINGS The use of coatings inside the containers, and more in general, on all surfaces that come into contact with the parts to feed, makes it easier to feed the parts themselves and at the same time reduce surface noise and wear. We have a wide varieties of coatings available (from the polyurethane rubber with different surface finishes and hardnesses to spray-on polyurethane up to fibre or metal brushes) with regard to the features of the product to be selected and the conditions of use. Application methods The coatings are applied after shot peening the involved parts with AISI316 microballs. This treatment not only perfectly cleans the surface to be coated, but also creates a degree of roughness that is suitable for gluing. Then, both of the surfaces to be glued (metal + coating) are covered with a layer of bostik and then the entire perimeter of the coating is sealed with a spray gun applied bi-component adhesive bead. Once the latter has vitrified, it provides a perfect seal for the coating, preventing the edges from becoming unstuck.
