St. Cloud, FL - En respuesta al éxito de las actividades del centro de la ciudad, han hecho contacto con la Primera Iglesia Metodista Unida para permitir el uso del estacionamiento de la iglesia para eventos de la ciudad en el área del centro.
“Somos conscientes de que, a medida que nuestros eventos han crecido, también lo ha hecho nuestra necesidad de estacionamiento conveniente y gratuito”, dijo el administrador de la ciudad, Bill Sturgeon.
“Estamos agradecidos con la iglesia por trabajar con nosotros para brindarles a las personas otra excelente opción de estacionamiento gratuito mientras disfrutan de nuestros eventos, restaurantes y negocios en el centro. Esto también será un gran beneficio a medida que avancemos con renovaciones adicionales en el centro”. El estacionamiento gratuito está ubicado en la esquina de 10th Street y Ohio Avenue.
More parking space in the City of St. Cloud
St. Cloud, FL - In response to the success of downtown activities, the City has worked with First United Methodist Church to allow the use of the church’s parking lot for City events in the downtown area.
“We are aware that, as our events have grown, so has our need for convenient, free parking,” said City Manager Bill Sturgeon.
“We are grateful to the church for working with us to give people another great option for free parking while enjoying our downtown events, restaurants and businesses. This also will be a big benefit as we move forward with additional downtown renovations.” The free parking lot is located at the corner of 10th Street and Ohio Avenue.


THE OSCEOLA BOARD OF COUNTRY COMMISSIONERS SEEKS VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE ON THE FOLLOWING ADVISORY BOARDS:
Board of Adjustment (3 Positions) – District 1, District 2, District 3. Members of the Board of Adjustment shall be knowledgeable in the field of comprehensive planning and shall be familiar with the Osceola County Comprehensive Plan, the Osceola County Land Development Code and other applicable regulations. Members of the Board of Adjustment serve at the pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners. The Board of Adjustment shall have the authority to grant or deny, wholly or in part, any request for a variance from the specified regulations and grant conditional use requests pursuant to the appropriate findings and further that it is not contrary to the public interest and the health, safety, comfort, convenience, and welfare of the citizens of Osceola County, or that the request is in conflict with provisions of this Code. Must reside in County Commission District 1, or District 2 or District 3. Typically meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Terms are four (4) years, unless it is to fill a vacant position. Code Enforcement Board (5 Positions) – General Contractor, Realtor, Businessman (current term ends 3/3/2022), Attorney (current term ends 3/3/2022), Architect (current term ends 3/3/2022). The Code Enforcement Board 3 shall be empowered to hear and adjudicate cases presented before them on matters involving codes and ordinances adopted by the Osceola County Commission. It is the intent of the Board of County Commissioners, by adopting Chapter 7 of the Osceola County Code of Ordinances, to provide an equitable, expeditious, effective and inexpensive method of enforcing the County’s Code and Ordinances. Examples of some of the Codes the Code Board hears would be; occupational license violations, building code, fire, mechanical, electrical and plumbing codes, zoning and sign ordinance violations, and other various codes and ordinances. The Code Board is comprised of seven (7) members who shall be residents of the County and who shall be appointed by the Board of County Commission on the basis of experience or interest in the subject jurisdiction of the Board. Pursuant to Florida Statute, the membership of the Code Board shall, whenever possible, consist of the following: Architect, Business Person, Engineer, General Contractor, Subcontractor or Realtor. The Code Enforcement Board typically meets the third (3rd) Wednesday of every month at 3:00pm in the Board Chambers located on the fourth (4th) floor of the Administration Building. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Citizens Advisory Task Force (1 Position) – At-Large. The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Citizen Advisory Task Force increases public awareness of the function of the community Development Block Grant Program and the types of assistance available to low and moderate income residents. In this role, the Task Force reviews and provides input on the Action Plan, Consolidated Plan, citizen Participation Plan and Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing. The Task
Force also provides input on the implementation of community projects. Fifty-one percent of Task force members must meet the low and moderate income definition (households at or below 80 percent area median income). The committee meets twice a year at the Osceola County Human Services office in the Beaumont Complex, 330 N. Beaumont Avenue, Kissimmee, FL 34741. MetroPlan Orlando Community Advisory Committee (1 Position) – Board Member. The Community Advisory Committee ensures the public has the opportunity to review and evaluate all proposed transportation plans and programs. About half the Community Advisory Committee members are appointed by local governments, and the other half by the MetroPlan Orlando Board. The committee membership includes multimodal transportation advocates, as well as representatives from under-served communities and business interests. COMMISSION DISTTOHORICTS PEKALIGA and modal. Meeting Time and Location: CAC generally 1 2 meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. 4 at the MetroPlan Orlando office (250 S. Orange Ave., Suite 200, Orlando, FL 32801). All meetings are open to the public 5 and include opportunities for public comment. In 2021, there are no CAC meetings scheduled in March, July, September, or November. Terms are for four (4) years. Planning Commission (2 Positions) – District 2, District 3. Members of the Planning Commission act as the Local Planning Agency, a state mandated review board. Commissioners shall be knowledgeable in the field of comprehensive planning and shall be familiar with the Osceola County Comprehensive Plan, the Osceola County Land Development Code and other applicable regulations. The Planning Commission reviews proposed land development regulations and codes as well as the Local Comprehensive Plan and makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. Must reside in either County Commission District 2 or 3. Typically meets the 1st Thursday of each month. Terms are four (4) years, unless it is to fill a vacant position. W192 Development Authority (1 Position) – Board Appointment. Member shall be recommended by the Tourist Development Council and be an Osceola County resident or own or lease property within the Development Authority boundaries and have substantial and relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: economic development; real estate development; community development; financing capital projects; or tourist executive. Terms of office - four (4) years. Typically meets the 1st Thursday of each month.
