Valencia College celebró las ceremonias de graduación

Orlando, FL - El domingo 7 de mayo, más de 1,600 estudiantes del Valencia College recibieron sus títulos de grado asociados y bachillerato (licenciatura) cuando Valencia College celebró sus ceremonias de graduación de primavera en el Addition Financial Arena de la Universidad Central de Florida.

Valencia llevó a cabo dos ceremonias el 7 de mayo. La ceremonia matutina comenzó a las 10 a.m. y la vespertina a las 2 p.m.

El discurso de graduación de este año fue pronunciado por Elizabeth Quiñones Díaz, que recibió el premio distinguido Mary Smedley Collier 2023 de la Asociación de Antiguos Alumnos del Valencia College.

Díaz luchó contra problemas de salud mental y COVID durante su tiempo en Valencia, pero se comprometió a seguir siendo positiva y tener un impacto positivo en los estudiantes a su alrededor.

La graduada más joven en las ceremonias de graduación de mayo fue Erika Nielsen, de 15 años, una estudiante de doble matrícula que asiste a Osceola School for the Arts. Ella recibió el título de Asociado en Artes.

Valencia College held commencement ceremonies

Orlando, FL - On Sunday, May 7, more than 1,600 Valencia College students received their associate and bachelor’s degrees when Valencia College held its spring commencement ceremonies at the University of Central Florida’s Addition Financial Arena.

Valencia held two ceremonies on May 7. The morning ceremony began at 10 a.m., with the afternoon ceremony kicking off at 2 p.m.

This year’s commencement address was given by Elizabeth Quiñones Díaz, who received the 2023 Mary Smedley Collier Distinguished Graduate Award from the Valencia College Alumni Association.

Díaz battled mental health issues and COVID during her time at Valencia, but vowed to remain positive – and to have a positive impact on the students around her.

The youngest graduate in the May commencement ceremonies was 15-year-old Erika Nielsen, a dual-enrollment student who attends the Osceola School for the Arts. She received her Associate in Arts degree.

The ceremonies were streamed live on the internet and can be viewed on the Valencia College graduation website at https:// valenciacollege.edu/students/ graduation/. A recorded version will also be available online one week after the ceremony.
