This participative workshop is designed to provide new and experienced board presidents with critical information about the duties and responsibilities of their leadership role. As the board president, your role on the board takes on new dimensions. This workshop was developed to help you meet the requirements of your new position and provide tools to assist you to build a better school board team. Effective meeting management is a major focus of this session. You are also introduced to legal requirements of board meetings, agenda preparation, teamwork and staff relations. Participants will be engaged in activities that develop critical skills to deal more effectively with the media and the public.
