FST in partnership with the Oklahoma City Fire Department (OKCFD) and RIVERSPORT Rapids will be hosting Swiftwater Rescue training for first responders starting in the summer of 2016. The new courses are designed to meet the rigorous Job Performance Requirements (JPRs) of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1006 and 1670 training and response standards. The training will utilize the new RIVERSPORT Rapid facility located in Oklahoma City. This facility is remarkable! Oklahoma Fire Responders are finally able to train in an environment that closely simulates what can be faced in the real world, but with safety measures in place, to allow for safe and effective training. Keep an eye out of the FST website for training dates. Be Safe!! Your family is waiting for You at home!!
