WHAT’S NEXT?

A guide for students completing New Student Orientation at The Ohio State University at Marion. Access to Orientation is only available to students that have been admitted and paid the $100 acceptance fee.

Complete Online Components Available starting May 16 Review content in Carmen Canvas (carmen.osu.edu). Important information and instructions will be sent to your Ohio State email account. Complete “To Do List” items found on the right side of your Buckeye Link account. Register for an on-campus Orientation session. A link to register will be located in the “Admissions” section of your Buckeye Link page. 2

Attend an On-Campus Orientation Session* Starting June 15, offered on select Wednesdays in June, July, and early August. Meet current students, faculty, staff, and other incoming students! Make connections at the Marion Campus Engagement Fair: meet the academic advising team, engage in a one-on-one check-in on your Buckeye business, and more. Complete the course scheduling survey and set a follow up Zoom or in-person appointment with your academic advisor. *You will not schedule classes on this day, but you must attend On-Campus Orientation before you have access to scheduling classes.

Schedule Courses Attend your one-on-one appointment with your academic advisor to learn about program requirements, how your placement testing results and any earned credits/pending credits may apply, and create a schedule for your first semester as a Buckeye. 4

Welcome Day Attend “Welcome Day” on Monday, August 22, to kickoff your first semester at Ohio State Marion! Check your Buckeyemail throughout the summer for updates on this event.
