The beginning

Today we’d like to get you acquainted with a young perspective beginning photographer called Dmitriy Ivanov, more famous as Sky Wind.

Dima lives in Moscow. He started going in for photography in 2010 when he was given his first reflex camera – Sony Alpha 500. However, at first he didn’t take his hobby seriously. And only 3 years later his friends and acquaintances persuaded him to devote himself to photography professionally because at that moment he was already very good at it.

Dmitriy prefers taking pictures of usual city guys – “Well, they lack experience, but they’ve got a special charm, fascination and charisma.”

Dima considers Annie Leibovitz and Patrick Demarchelier to be his idols.

“But I owe my experience, knowledge and everything what I can to such photographers as Yekaterina Zaharova and Mitya Nevsky. Their works are like a source of standard and an aim towards striving.”

It’s difficult to be yourself, being a gay to keep your house open without being afraid of what people will talk about you and of how they’ll treat you. Not everyone is capable of bringing themselves to lead such a life especially in Russia where for all time, and present time is not an exception, true citizens are filled with anger and hatred when meeting someone unlike them. But it wasn’t so easy at all even in civilized countries and not so long ago, either.

Marcel Proust (1871-1922), the love, imagination and time charmer, was the first writer in the Big Literature of 20th century who introduced homosexuals and lesbians in “In Search of Lost Time” published in several volumes. But what a poison the sheets, where these vicious creatures, according to Proust’s definition, were described, are oozing.

5000 kilometers of adventures Part 2: Yekaterinburg Hitchhiker’s notes After spending the first night in the tent on the edge of the road and the second one walking around Omsk all night through, hard sleeper seats in the carriage with number reserved berths seemed to be down-beds. And we were really sleeping like a log: we were catching up on our sleep and gaining strength for unknown future.

We arrived in Yekaterinburg early in the morning until the sunrise. Putting our thing back into the bags I asked Denis in a whisper: “Look at the blankets, I can find some spare place in the bag for them in case our next stay in the tent for a night for us not to feel cold again…”. Having made peace with our conscience we added the blankets to our luggage; thank you, Russian Railway.

Jonathan Saunders Spring / Summer 2015

Men’s collection by Jonathan Saunders, spring-summer 2015, is one of the most typical for London. The combination of sporty style clothing (windproof jackets, shorts, T-shirts) with traditional styles of outer clothing and trousers, classic shirts and English-knit sweaters is quite in the manner of London street fashion in a casual style.

The color base of his collection is conservative, pleasant for perception. Such colors as khaki, yellow, grey, gravel, blue and pink are used in designing of sets. Fabrics, colors and patterns are very interesting and make the sets bright despite their simple style.

In the lookbook you can see large knitted sweaters, jumpers and coats with color blocks, dotted suits, trousers with creases, coats and jackets with large contrasting stripes, straight shorts and bomber jackets in all possible colors. The collection was also brightly emphasized with yellow color and contrasting stripes on jackets and coats.
