C
algary recently hosted the Global Petroleum Show at Stampede Park, attracting thousands of spectators, professionals, delegates, and exhibitors from 110 countries. Calgary is widely considered to be the Canadian hub of expertise in the energy sector, and companies here proudly displayed their latest advancements in technology and equipment. Among those in the running for product excellence was the Acela Truck Company, producer of extreme-duty 4x4 and 6x6 trucks. Acela was on hand to launch the company’s Monterra truck line, noted for their ability to withstand the rigours of punishing work environments. The company, in fact, was established to meet the needs of the oil industry as stakeholders complained about the lack of appropriate vehicles for medium-duty applications capable of handling extreme conditions, noted Acela President, David Ronsen. “There isn’t a truck that can handle the rugged environments of the Canadian Oil Sands, pipeline construction of off-highway exploration with a long life cycle and a cost-effective price point. OVERVIEW Woodward Publishing Group publications are printed on 35 lb Premium 80 with a 60 lb Gloss Cover Tabloid, Web Width 27” DESIGN & PRODUCTION: If required, our graphic designer will help you design and create your advertisement at no extra charge. To get the best results we would need the following; a good quality copy of your logo (original artwork if possible), photos, illustrations, as digital files or scannable images. If you have an existing ad, we can re-size it if necessary. Under certain circumstances if the size of an existing ad does not match our standard dimensions and cannot be changed, we can “float” the ad within the layout of a page. “Bleeds” are accepted. Any supplied art or photographs should be at least 300 dpi if possible (lower resolutions can be used but will result in a lower quality final product). No film required, we go directly from PDF to Plate. PROOFS: A “proof” (low-res copy) of all advertisements created or modified by the publisher (i.e. Woodward Publishing Group) will be e-mailed to the advertiser or agency prior to publication. If proofs are not returned for corrections, the publisher assumes that the proof is satisfactory and is authorized for use. All advertisers receive a print copy by mail of the publication(s) in which they appear. COMPUTER ENVIRONMENT: Our graphic design department is MAC based and we primarily use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat. These applications can accept files produced on PC computers. MEDIA: If files are to be supplied on physical media, we can accept USB Flash Drives, all memory cards, CD-ROM/RW and DVD. AGENCY COMMISSION: Ontario Trucking News is pleased to work with accredited advertising agencies. A 15% commission is calculated on rates before discount.
