TODArS OPPONENT Today's contest, the 32nd football meeting between Hiram and Otterbein College, is being played on the James A. Garfield High School football gridiron due to repairs on Hiram's Charles A. Henry Field. Otterbein enters this game holding a 23-5 win advantage in the series. There have been three ties in the series, including the first game ever played between the schools (a 0 - 0 tie in 1921). Nine of Otterbein's wins have been via the shutout route. With the exception of the first game tie, Hiram has never shutout the Cardinals. The widest margin of victory belongs to the Cards, when they racked up the Terriers to the tune of 50-0 in 1958. The most points in a game involving the two schools occurred in the 1960 game which Otterbein won 54-34. Otterbein won last year's game, 35-8 on a frigid night at the Otterbein home grounds. The year before, the Terriers nipped the Otters 12-9 when a 50-yard pass went for touchdown on the final play of the game. NEXT WEEK

The Terriers draw the curtain on the 1968 season next Saturday when they travel to Kala mazoo, Michigan, to meet the Kalamazoo College Hornets. The Terriers won last year's battle, 21-20. The all-time series between the schools reads one win, one loss, and one tie for both schools.
