BIOGRAPHIES Thom Christopher Warren (Director/Host) is thrilled to be the newest member of the Otterbein University Department of Theatre and Dance! Thom comes to the University from 25 years spent working on and off Broadway, in companies of many a National Tour, and having worked at some of the country's most prestigious regional theaters; including The Guthrie Theatre, Paper Mill Playhouse, Hartford Stage Company, The La Jolla Playhouse, George Street Playhouse and countless summers stocks. Most recently, Thom finished a 15 year run with Disney's The Lion King in both the Broadway and National Touring companies, and in which he played Scar, Zazu, Timon, Pumbaa and Ed over the course of his time with the show. Thom's tenure with the show also included serving as the Resident Director of the 2nd National Tour, as well as serving on the creative team of the Chinese production in Shanghai. Other favorites include: Once Upon a Mattress, with Sarah Jessica Parker, creating the role of Harry Frommerman in the world premiere of Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman' s Harmony, Forever Plaid (Sparky), How to Succeed in Business ... (Finch), Peter and the Star Catcher (Black Stache), Into the Woods (Baker), My Fair Lady (Freddy), When Pigs Fly (Howard), Lend Me a Tenor (Tito), The Laramie Project - Epilogue" (World Premiere-Greg, etc.), Gypsy (Yonkers & Pastey) with Betty Buckley, and Enter Laughing (David). Thom has had the honor of singing in concert at the legendary Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and Madison Square Garden, alongside Barry Manilow, as well as Stephen Sondheim's birthday concert at Avery Fisher Hall (filmed for PBS) and the 12-hour concert at NY' s Symphony Space, "Wall to Wall Sondheim." As a director, Thom has guest directed and led master classes across the country at such Universities as Yale, Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, Kean and Anderson Universities. A HUGE thank you to everyone at Otterbein for the warmest of welcomes!

Lori Kay Harvey (Music Director/Host) currently serves as the music director of Otterbein University's BFA musical theatre program. She is thrilled to get to co-host with Thom Warren for this performance of The Launch having first performed opposite Thom as Reuben's wife in the national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Patrick Cassidy, Deborah Gibson, and the Osmond 2nd Generation. Other credits include the international tour of Grease (Brazil), selected regional credits: Beauty and the Beast (Ordway Center), Jekyll and Hyde (Arvada Center), The Taffetas (Totem Pole Playhouse), Camelot (Westchester Broadway Theatre), The Who's Tommy, Damn Yankees (Mill Mountain Theatre), Brigadoon, Carousel, The Desert Song (Media Theatre), and The Good War (Weathervane Playhouse). In 2014, she was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical by BroadwayWorld Columbus and The Jebby Awards for her role as Diana in Next to Normal with the SRO Theatre Company. Lori Kay has shared the concert stage with such notable performers as Lee Roy Reams, Leslie U ggams, Doc Severinson, Judy Blazer, Jim Walton, Judy Kaye, Kathleen Brett, and John Lloyd Young. Concert credits include the Mozart Requiem with The National Chorale (Avery Fisher Hall), Puttin' On the Ritz and The Magical Music of Disney with Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra (Carnegie Hall, Cincinnati Music Hall, Circle Theatre, recorded on TELARC label, Grammy-nominated). TV credits: "Sex in the City," "Guiding Light," "Mel Torme' s Christmas Special," and various commercials and industrials. Lori Kay holds a BS in Voice Performance and Theatre from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and was a 4-year member of the internationally renowned Singing Hoosiers. She is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association. She resides in Westerville with her husband, TJ, and 2 children, Macrae (5) and Clara (2).


BIOGRAPHIES Stella Hiatt Kane (Choreographer) is the Director of Musical Theatre and Director of Dance at Otterbein University and the founding Artistic Director of JazzMet. Ms. Kane has been a member of the national companies of Sugar and Bob Fosses' Dancin ' and a member of the national and international companies of The American Dance Machine. She has made television appearances in productions such as PBS' Dance In America and The Ann Reinking Special with Ann Reinking, Chita Rivera and Ben Vereen. Ms. Kane has taught for New York's American Dance Machine/Harkness House and the Actors' and Directors' Lab. She has been a visiting guest artist/teacher at several universities including The Ohio State University and New York University and has been a master teacher in residence at the Northern Ballet Theatre in Leeds, England. Ms. Kane has also been a guest choreographer for Columbus Dance Theatre and BalletMet. Christina Kirk (Artistic Director/Producer) is Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance at Otterbein University where she has taught since 1992. Her directing credits include The Living Theatre, New Dramatists, and assisting Liviu Ciulei at Arena Stage. Favorite directing projects at Otterbein include The Caucasian Chalk Circle, King Richard III and Nine. She has also directed and performed for Otterbein Summer Theatre. Favorite summer projects include The 39 Steps, Barefoot in the Park, and The Understudy. She has performed at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, the Nebraska Repertory Theatre, the Illinois Repertory Theatre, CATCO, and in the Joseph Jefferson award winning Kabuki Medea. Favorite roles include "B" in niree Tall Women at CATCO, Violet in August: Osage County at Otterbein and, more recently, the title roles in Cleopatra and Claudel at Columbus Dance Theatre. Claudel received the Artistic Excellence Award by the Greater Columbus Arts Council and Cleopatra was nominated for this same award. Her onewoman show, which premiered at Columbus Dance Theatre, was featured in the March 2006 Theatre Journal. And, most recently she had the pleasure of reading her daughter Margaret Veach' s poetry in an evening of her work at Columbus Dance Theatre. Kirk has an M.F.A. in Directing from Columbia University and a B.F.A. in acting from the University of Illinois. She is also a certified yoga instructor. Doc Davis (Lighting and Sound Supervisor) was born and raised in Pearl, MS. After receiving a BA in Theatre from Belhaven University, he continued his education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While completing his MFA in Sound Design, he worked as a sound engineer at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, assisting such acts as Mark Morris Dance Company, The National, Derek Trucks Band, Keb' Mo', Ralph Lemon Dance Company, and more. After receiving his MFA, he acted as a Mastering Engineer, Sound Designer, Al, Location Recordist, Video Designer, and Re-Recording Mixer for various theaters, companies, and films. Since moving to Columbus, OH, Davis has worked at Otterbein University as Lighting and Sound Supervisor and Events Coordinator. He continues to design and mix shows many times a year and especially loves sharing his approach to Audio Engineering and Sound Design to students of all ages! Jessica Palagano (Lighting Designer) is a BFA Theatre Design Technology major from Hilliard, OH. Previous credits include Lighting Designer for "The Cocktail Party" in Dance 2017: Move Me, Assistant Set Designer for Damn Yankees, and Master Electrician for Rumors. I am extremely excited to be working on The Launch this year as Lighting Designer! Thank you to all the seniors for welcoming me to Otterbein and being awesome

Ethan Brown (Sound Designer) is a senior BFA Design/Technology major with a concentration in Audio Production. Previously, Ethan was Sound Designer for Adding Machine: A Musical, Top Girls and The 2016 Launch: A Senior Cabaret, and Mix Engineer for The Addams Family. Natalie Love (Stage Manager) is a senior BA Theatre major withs Arts Administration and Literary Studies minors from Reynoldsburg, OH. Previously, she has served as Stage Manager for both Invention of Theater (Otterbein Summer Theatre) and Top Girls. Thanks to my family and friends for their support!

THE CLASS OF 2018 Kaylee Barrett is a BFA Acting major from Cleveland, OH. Previously, she has been seen in Top Girls (Angie/Pope Joan), Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Honey), The Crucible (Mary Warren), and My Fair Lady (Mrs.Pearce/Mrs.Higgins). Beginning this January, Kaylee is thrilled to be interning with Kate Lumpkin Casting in New York City. She would like to give all of her love to her family, the class of 2018, and all of her dear friends here at Otterbein for making these past four years the best years of her life! Much love.

Sally Clark is a BFAActing major from Memphis, TN. Her previous Otterbein credits include a watchman in Much Ado About Nothing, Madame Bathilde in Is He Dead?, Ann Putnam in The Crucible, Lady Nijo/Mrs. Kidd in Top Girls and Sandra in Reap The Grove. Some of her favorite off-campus credits include Mary Dalton in Native Son and Agnes in She Kills Monsters. She would like to thank her mom, brother, Steven, the faculty, and all of her peers she has been lucky enough to get to know and learn from for all the love, support and direction over the years.

Connor Cook is a BFA Musical Theatre major with a Dance concentration from Pittsburgh, PA. Connor is very excited to share The Launch with you! His favorite roles include Felicia in Priscilla Queen of the Desert with Clear Space Rep, Benny in Otterbein' s Rent, and John Wilkes Booth in his Junior year classroom production of Assassins. Enjoy the show!


THE CLASS OF 2018 Lauren DiMario is a BFA Acting major from Dayton, OH. Her favorite Otterbein credits include Cassie Cooper in Rumors, Marie Leroux in Is He Dead?, Griselda/Kit/Shona in Top Girls, Mercy Lewis in The Crucible and Clelia Waldgrave in The Nerd. Lauren will be interning for a casting agency or a Broadway marketing team this coming semester in NYC. She'd like to give all the love to her parents and brothers for always supporting her even though this isn't a sporting event, the Otterbein faculty for all the guidance over the past four years, and the class of 20ATETeen for being the best class a girl could ask for. ''And as I go, I want you with me." Much Love.

Ben Folts, a BFA Acting major from Hershey, PA, has had an incredible time at Otterbein. His roles here have included Ken in Rumors, Hale in The Crucible, Kevin in Invention of Theater, James Dean in Dance 2015: Famously Yours ... Forever, and Rick in The Nerd. Ben is president of Main Stage Improv and has also focused on graphic design and puppetry (both construction and performance). He designed posters for Otterbein' s 2016-17 season and, as part of an independent study in puppetry, created puppet pieces for the Class of 2018's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, the student made miniseries Take it From the Top, and Roro Cheng's movement piece The Arrival. He will be interning with Stephanie Klapper Casting in NYC next semester. He'd like to thank his mother, father, sister and entire extended family for supporting him in all his artistic endeavors, and all his friends on campus for making his Otterbein years a wonderful, treasured time.

Grace Hoover, a senior BFA Acting major hailing from Carlisle, PA, is excited to perform with her class one last time at Otterbein. The past number of years have flown by, and Grace is eternally thankful for the memories. Favorite roles at Otterbein include Elizabeth in OST's Invention of Theater, Jeanine in Top Girls, and Rebecca Nurse in The Crucible. Grace is honored to be a part of the Class of TwentyAteTeen, and in January, will be moving to New York to start her spring internship. Countless thanks to her parents, friends, Daria, and Melissa Lusher for the strength, support, and wisdom over the years. Trust your voice. "I want a little bit of everything, the biscuits and the beans."


THE CLASS OF 2018 Caroline Kane, a BFA Musical Theatre major with a Dance concentration from Westlake, OH, can't believe that this will be her final bow on the Cowan Stage! Caroline has been blessed to be a part of several productions here at Otterbein, including Damn Yankees, The Addams Family, Fiddler on the Roof, and all four of the dance concerts! Caroline will be moving to New York where she will be interning for Carnahan Casting with Roundabout Theatre Company. She cannot thank her family, friends, class and the Otterbein faculty enough for their endless love and support. Thank you for such an amazing beginning of this journey.

Jack Labrecque is a BFA Acting major from Brunswick, ME. Thank you first and foremost to my parents, without whom none of this would be possible. Thank you to the faculty for your support, validation and training. Thank you to all of my brothers in Pi Sig, you're a second family to me and I love you all. Thank you to Kat, I love you more than I know how to say. This last one goes out to all of you.

Chris Marth, a BFA Musical Theatre major from Carlisle, PA, is both excited and saddened to be performing with his class one last time on the Cowan stage. Favorite Otterbein credits include Rumors (Ernie Cusack), The Addams Family (Uncle Fester), and Assassins (Proprietor/ Balladeer). In the winter, Chris will be interning in the press office at the Lincoln Center Theatre. Thank you to my parents for their endless love and support. Special thanks to the class of 20ATEteen for being like a family these past four years!

Lottie Mae Prenevost, a BFA Musical Theatre major from Chelsea, MI, is feeling all sorts of excited and scared as she takes her last bow on Cowan stage and gets one step closer to the next big life-change, where she will be interning with Tara Rubin Casting. She is sorry to leave her Otterbein career of playing the mother/grandmother/ wifewith-marital-problem s behind her (Into the Woods, Fiddler on the Roof, The Addams Family, Damn Yankees, Adding Machine: A Musical), but is truly so grateful for the home she has found at Otterbein. She hopes she has said "thank you" enough to each of the professors she has learned from during her time here. Thank you all, again. She would like to dedicate this last performance to her parents, Jeff and Bev, and her class of 20ATEteen. Love, love, love to you all.


THE CLASS OF 2018 Daria Pilar Redus is a BFA Acting major from Cleveland, OH. She has been fortunate enough to play Claire in Rumors, Marlene in Top Girls, Blanche in Brighton Beach Memiors, and sing alongside some of talented people in A Grand Night for Singing. She's looking forward to beginning a new life in NYC, pursuing her dreams and creating happiness. To say that she is grateful for her parents would be an understatement. "Thank you for believing in me, and I hope that I can make you proud. I'm looking forward to a new life with old friends. Here's to us! Leah Windahl is a BFA Musical Theatre major from Cleveland, OH. Favorite Otterbein Credits include Sonia (They're Playing Our Song), Wednesday (The Addams Family), and Sister (Damn Yankees). Leah is very excited to be interning with both Wojcik Seay Casting and Broadway World next semester! "Thank you to my parents for always being my biggest supporters, and the the Class Of TwentyATEteen for starting off as my classmates, becoming my friends, and ending up as my family. You kids are my favorites . Much love."

J.T. Wood, a BFA Musical Theatre major from Indianapolis, IN is thrilled and a bit sad to perform one last time on the Cowan Fritsche Theatre stage! J.T. was last seen as Mr. Zero in Adding Machine:The Musical earlier this semester. His favorite roles at Otterbein have been Collins in Rent, Jean-Francois Millet/The Widow Tillou in Is He Dead? and Eugene Morris Jerome in Brighton Beach Memoirs. J.T. would like to thank the audiences and patrons who have followed him throughout the years and supported his career thus far; the faculty and staff for their guidance and training; and his family and friends for their love and support. J.T. would also like to thank the Class of 2018 for being the best college family anyone could ask for. Let's do it one more time! All the praise to God!

Morgan Anita Wood is a current senior BFA Musical Theatre major from Indianapolis, IN, moving to New York City in less than a month (ahhh!). She will be completing an internship with Telsey + Company this spring and cannot wait to live in the city she's been dreaming about since before she can remember. Thank you to Otterbein for giving me a family, as well as the opportunity to play strong women like Joanne in Rent and Morticia in The Addams Family. And, thank you to J.T., Shelby, my incredible parents, extended family, my crazy class, and God for all of His many blessings. Apologies in advance for the puddle of tears she's about to leave on the stage. This is for you, my sweet Grandpa Wood.
