We are so looking forward to growing our family! Within the first few months of dating we discussed our desire to have

children. Shortly after trying to have children on our own we learned we are unable to have children naturally. We decided that this means we have a new path to grow our family, and look forward to bringing a child into our family to love, nurture, and share amazing life experiences with.

How we met...

WE MET AT A SMALL BIOTECH COMPANY, WHERE BRIAN FOUND INCREASINGLY CREATIVE REASONS TO VISIT JENNY’S OFFICE. Our similar hobbies and opposing political views led to enjoyable conversations, which led to a lunch, which led to a movie, which led to our first date at the zoo.

We now work at different companies very close to home.

We look forward to getting home after work to walk our Lab Annie either through the nature preserve that surrounds our house or around our neighborhood. We both enjoy cooking and snuggling on the couch under a blanket while watching our shows or a movie.

We enjoying living in Southern California and taking advantage of all it has to offer. We love getting outside by going on hikes, to the beach, working in our yard, hosting barbeques, & a few more being tourists in our town. shared interests

Favorite Foods:

Cheeseburgers, Seafood, Italian, Mexican, Thai, Dessert, any and all desserts!

Favorite Movies:

Comedies, Action, Sci-fi, cheesy horror, and 80s and 90s movies (Ghostbusters, Goonies, Sixteen Candles, Indiana Jones, etc.)

Interests:

Trying new foods, cooking new recipes, finding new hikes, retelling stories of places we have visited together, quizzing each other on movie quotes or song lyrics, and having dinners together in our backyard while watching the sunset.

Places traveled together so far:

Paris, Switzerland, Hawaii, Oregon, Colorado, Maryland, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, and up and down the California Coast

Places looking forward to traveling together as a family: Washington DC, Hawaii, Yosemite, Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, Europe, and of course Disneyland and Disneyworld!

JENNY IS AN INCREDIBLY CARING PERSON. She is a very loyal and considerate friend; so much so that her best friend is still the one she met in elementary school. She is a glasshalf-full type of individual, and she always manages to find a positive in the most difficult of situations. She has a goofy but endearing love for everything from the 1980’s, and there isn’t a recipe created that she’s not willing to try at least once.

ABOUT JENNY’S CAREER...

I am a Human Resources Manager at a high tech company where I support business groups that are working on cutting edge technology. My work is very people focused; training, coaching, developing, and interviewing. I get to bring the human aspect to PhD physicists, engineers and scientists who are extremely intelligent, but need my help on the emotional intelligence side.

BRIAN IS SMART, SENSITIVE, A NURTURER, AND DRIVEN. When we first met I was intrigued by how smart and caring he is, and his sharp wit. He always makes sure everyone is taken care of. Each morning he brings me coffee, and then makes breakfast for me, the dog, and the cats. As an only child he checks in on his parents daily. He is driven at work and has been promoted several times in the past few years.

Although an introvert, he partakes in my silly antics and dances with me to 90s hip hop in the kitchen while making dinner. He probably doesn’t want me to share this, but he will shed a tear or two during a sad movie.

We LOVE our jobs because...

JENNY: My work is very close to home, and my schedule is flexible which means I’ll be able to spend a lot of time with our new baby when the time comes.

BRIAN: Every other Friday I am off from work completely. These off-Fridays are going to make for great fun days with Dad when the time comes!

ABOUT BRIAN’S CAREER...

I am a Supply Chain Manager at a company that manufactures unmanned aircraft for the US military.

I spend most of my days trouble-shooting issues with our numerous material subcontractors. I travel periodically, but the great part about my job is that I can set my own hours and schedule of activities.

FAMILY IS IMPORTANT TO US AND WE SPEND TIME WITH OUR FAMILY MEMBERS THAT ARE LOCAL EVERY WEEK. Our family that lives out of town visits often throughout the year and for extended periods during the holidays.

Our Home

WE OWN A 4-BEDROOM HOME IN A SAFE, FAMILY FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE WE KNOW ALL OF OUR NEIGHBORS. Our house has a great yard for children to play and the nursery is full of toys and books awaiting our child. Our house backs up to a nature preserve that has miles of hiking trails, beautiful trees, and a waterfall. Within walking distance is the number one ranked elementary school in the City of San Diego, as well as a beautiful park and playground.

Jenny parents have been together for over 45 years! They live where Jenny grew-up in Maryland and are currently looking for a house in San Diego so they can be close to their children and grandchildren.

Jenny’s siblings include her older sister and younger brother. They hang out and talk frequently, and travel together to see extended family or for vacation. Jenny’s sister and her family live in San Diego. Jenny’s brother and sister-in-law just had a baby girl on January 2, 2015 who would love a cousin of the same age!

WE LOOK FORWARD TO EXPLORING THE WORLD WITH OUR CHILD. We cannot wait to share our favorite things from our childhoods such as extra-curricular activities, summer vacations, family get-togethers, holidays, and enjoying the simple things like reading a bedtime story, singing songs, snuggling, and having fun just being silly. We have much to offer our child; a nurturing and encouraging environment, the opportunity to pursue dreams, and most importantly, unconditional love from us and our supportive families.

Brian’s mother lives close to our home, so we see her often. She is a nurse in a NICU unit at a Children’s Hospital, and is looking forward to retiring to help provide daycare for her first grandchild.

Brian’s father lives in Colorado, just outside of Denver, where Brian grew-up. He is a gifted craftsman, and is forever working on one project or another.
