WELCOME
We are excited to share our story! We met more than four years ago at a mutual friend's Christmas Party. We developed a great friendship over a long flirtatious game of online Scrabble, which improved both of our vocabularies! Our friendship ultimately blossomed into a loving relationship and romance. As we began to envision our lives together, we knew we wanted to start a family. A few years later we married and continue to be best friends. Ours is a true partnership based on open and honest communication in which we share hopes, dreams, and laughter. We are looking forward to sharing our love, hopes, and dreams with our child.

We both enjoy careers in high tech companies in Silicon Valley. Jody has a bachelor's degree and is a part-time project manager. Her work reflects her dedication and tendency towards organizing things. Jody plans to be a STAY AT HOME MOM so she can spend lots of quality time with our child! Tony is an engineer and loves his job. He works at a company that is involved in fun, cutting edge technology. His career allows for the flexible hours that will enable him to spend more time with his family. It’s important to Tony to be there for all the events our child will have along the way.

Tony plays the guitar and is looking forward to playing happy tunes for our child to dance to, or teaching our child to play.

One of her hobbies is interior design and that is reflected in the fun vintage and cozy decor in our home. She can’t wait to decorate a room for our child that will hopefully inspire his or her creativity.

OUR HOME Where family is first We live in San Jose, California. Our house is across from a nice park where we love to take our dog Buster on walks. We look forward to taking our child to the playground and for games of catch at the local field. We have a number of close friends and family living close by and we often host BBQ’s and fun get-togethers at our house. Christmas time is our favorite time of the year. We LOVE to decorate the house, watch all the Christmas movies, and listen to all the festive music. We imagine sharing the holidays with our son or daughter, watching them play with their cousins and making lasting memories throughout the years.
Our family and friends are excited for us to become parents, and are enthusiastic about the open adoption process. We both come from large families with lots of kids and have fun family gatherings often. Tony's immediate family is close by and there are also loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and little ones. Jody is a twin, with five brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. Both of our families have strong ties to Hawaii. We look forward to exploring the islands with our child when we vacation there. We have a deep sense of Ohana, which, to us, means we strive to be a tight knit and loving family. We hope to instill that spirit of Ohana in our child with our love as well as our family’s love.
OUR COMMUNITY Our neighborhood is full of young families as well as original residents who have lived here since the 1920’s. There is a farmers market every Sunday and festivals just about every month, such as the Japanese Obon festival or Mexican Heritage festival. The Bay Area is full of great places to visit on day trips, whether it be walking along the beach, exploring San Francisco, or hiking in the redwoods. We live a short drive from Happy Hollow, a small zoo and amusement park for children. We are anxious to take a family trip on the local steam train through the Redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains.

We often attend nieces’ softball games and performances. We always have a lot of fun cheering them on and can’t wait to see our little one make his/her first catch, or perform in their first dance recital. Whether it's a BBQ or a birthday party, we always have a great time. Many of our friends have recently become parents and are already offering helpful advice. We look forward to filling our home with love and laughter and having our family and friends be part of our adventure.
