We met over 17 years ago, and after bumping into each other over and over again, were finally set up on a blind Internet date. The rest is history! We both come from

strong families that believe in work ethic, morals, love, and concern for people and community. Our families encouraged us to follow our dreams to become the adults we were meant to be and find careers that we love, and we look forward to being there to encourage our child. Over our 12 years together we have built a bond of trust, love, and understanding that grows more each day.

We quickly learned that we share a passion for animals in need. We have six cats and two dogs, which are mostly rescues. They are all gentle-

natured and love interacting and playing with the neighborhood children.

We LOVE living our dreams of the classic suburban experience, with a 1950’s house on a quiet street with close neighbors.

Big pecan trees and a fenced-in grassy backyard make it perfect for our son or daughter to have the time of their life running, playing with our pets, or tossing a ball or Frisbee.

Being in a small suburb of a large college city grants us access to athletics, plays, concerts, parks, and cultural events.

We can hardly wait to take our child on a family picnic at the park during a concert, or watch him or her cheering for our favorite team at a ball game. Our child will know love and laughter, grow up in a safe and nurturing community, and be allowed to develop his or her own God-given talent.

ABOUT JOSEPH JOSEPH ABOUT

Joseph has not only a heart of love, but also a soul of compassion, understanding, and wisdom that I have never found in anyone else. I marvel at his artistic talent and his sense of wonder. He is an artist, interior designer, and also studied religion. Joseph loves decorating our entire yard at Halloween for the community children each year.

We will enjoy teaching our child the value of helping out a good cause, while having a fun and memorable time, as hundreds of adults and children come each Halloween and leave donations for local charities at our Halloween event.

Joseph is always there to help me smile and laugh no matter how my day is going. He simply completes me. He will make a wonderful father to our son or daughter, and strive to help his or her childhood dreams come true.

Randy is the grounding force in my life. He complements me and encourages me when I need it. He constantly demonstrates generosity and compassion, not only with his family, but also with his clients and friends.

Randy has a head for numbers and detail that is a mystery to me. He’s analytical, focused, hard-working, and family oriented. Christmas is Randy’s favorite holiday and we often have four or more decorated trees. He will love having a little boy or girl help decorate the yard and put the trimmings on all the trees in the house. He loves children and can’t wait to be a daddy!

Our jobs are within a mile of our home and day care, so we will be available whenever our child needs us. We have very flexible work hours and stable jobs, as Joseph owns two small businesses and Randy works in the finance and insurance industry.

We love to travel and can’t wait to take our son or daughter on their first trip to Disney World or set sail on a family cruise to explore Canada and Alaska!

Joseph’s parents live about five minutes from us, and our brothers are just around the corner. We have a culturally

diverse family background and many cousins, nieces and nephews, some of whom joined our family through adoption. In addition to Joseph’s past experience as an assistant youth minister, we have helped raise the children of our

relatives and friends. Aunt Joyce and Uncle Bennie can’t wait to have a little partner to take fishing and camping with them on one of their weekend outings!

We also have a strong network of support from friends, family, and a neighborhood of families with children. Our neighborhood’s honorary grandmothers are already excited and eager to shower our little boy or girl with love and attention. Everyone keeps telling us about experiences they can’t want to share with our child!
