THE DONOWAY CENTER NEW HOPE FOR PANCREATIC CANCER PATIENTS Patients diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer have few treatment options. However, a new procedure called Irreversible Electroporation or IRE for short has changed that for many patients who are seeing a doubling and tripling of their life expectancies. Dr. Robert Donoway, who has one of the largest International experiences for performing this procedure on the pancreas and liver is a Hollywood based, Sloan Kettering trained Pancreatic Surgical Oncologist, and former medical director of two of the local cancer programs remains among a very small handful of Pancreatic surgeons who perform the procedure which is done in the operating room as an outpatient. During the procedure, Dr. Donoway places fine needle probes under direct ultrasound guidance into and around the pancreatic tumor while carefully avoiding critical structures. High voltage current up to 3000 volts is then delivered in 90-microsecond pulses synchronized with the patient’s heart rhythm to avoid any cardiac problems. The pulses destroy the cancer cell membranes which then causes the tumor to die and be absorbed by the body. The average procedure lasts approximately 1-2 hours and the patients may be discharged the following day. A brief recovery means the patient can start chemotherapy and radiation that much sooner.
Robert B. Donoway, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.S.S.O. Diplomate American Board of Surgery Diplomate, Society of Surgical Oncology Former Medical Director Memorial Cancer Center Medical Director, Atlas Oncology: Institute for Pancreatic Cancer IRE/NanoKnife Ablation
Dr. Donoway is participating in several clinical studies identifying the best chemotherapy and immunotherapies to be used along with IRE. Dr. Donoway states, “The results so far have been very encouraging and we have begun using it for other select cancers. The longest survivors are now out over 5 years and without evidence of cancer recurrence. In the past, without IRE they would have been likely to have only lived a year and so this technique opens the whole new avenue for treating those eligible patients in a more targeted fashion.” For more information about Dr. Donoway and the Pancreatic-IRE/NanoKnife Program and clinical trials call 305-682-4993 and visit www.AtlasOncology.com. Back to School in South Florida
S
ummer vacations are a hallmark of modern life. After the final bell of the school year rings, children from across the country anxiously head home, often looking forward to trips abroad, excursions to the beach, local “staycations” or time at summer camps. Summer break, however, does not last forever. Most local kids return to school on August 14th this year. They will bring with them stories of adventure, excitement and maybe even a little bit of boredom. Like vacation options, the number of after-school programs has exploded. There are a myriad of activities and opportunities for families to choose from. Parents also have more choice in how their kids are educated today; rather than simply dropping a child at the local bus stop, parents now decide between their local public school, charter schools, private schools or online learning. So many choices can become overwhelming. If your family is like ours, you might not have everything planned just yet. Have no fear, Our City Magazine is here to help! Check out Our City’s Back to School Guide in this month’s issue. It contains useful information on the best preschools, private schools and educational programs in the local area. We have included almost every afterschool activity you can think of, from arts to the YMCA. The material is curated to provide our readers with a useful guide to help get ready for the new school year. Remember to enjoy the last couple weeks of summer. Before you know it, school will have already started.

Be in the Know at H2O! BY BEVERLY PERKINS
S
unny skies welcomed the ocean-loving beach community this summer as they gathered to celebrate “World Ocean Day”. The H2O Art Festival was a collaboration by Leadership Hollywood XLIII, The Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and Free Our Seas. Of course, there was no better place to hold the June event than at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort bandshell. The first part of the morning was spent cleaning up the shores with the Surfrider Foundation Broward County Chapter. After the beach clean-up where 318 pounds of trash was collected, participants enjoyed live music, eco-friendly vendors and artists, and a multitude of environmental non-profit organizations. All like-minded exhibitors helped draw attention
to the human interconnectedness with the ocean while inspiring and educating those to create change for a clean and healthy ocean. Local muralist Rei Ramirez transformed South Florida popular resort’s beach shack with a breathtaking image of an ocean filled with sea turtles while talented sand sculptor John May was oceanside chiseling sand into a stunning creation of his own. Free Our Seas had plenty of marine debris art sculptures on display to bring awareness of plastic pollution and how it affects marine life, oceans, and beaches. “I never considered myself a ‘bad’ person regarding environmental responsibility but because of Free Our Seas, I became educated on the damage some of my daily choices make, I’m amazed at how many times a day I now ask myself, ‘is this ocean and earth conscious?’
I still have a long way to go, a tiger doesn’t change its stripes overnight, but every time I put something back or decline the frivolous use of something for the sole purpose of its convenience, I think about how my choices will affect the environment,” explained Katie Lizana of Leadership Hollywood XLIII. One of the day’s highlights was when Hollywood Mayor Josh Levy presented a proclamation announcing that the first Saturday in June to forever be recognized an official city holiday called “H2O Hollywood 2 Ocean”. “The festival brought awareness to the ordinance that has been in place since October 2018 banning all single-use plastics and polystyrene east of the Intracoastal on Hollywood Beach. Free Our Seas hopes to continue bringing awareness of the affects single-use plastic pollution has on our environment through the arts whether it be with our marine debris sculptures and/or events,” said Manon Wiese, Founder, and President of Free Our Seas.

Walk This Way- Cancer Survivors Strike a Pose on the Runway BY BEVERLY PERKINS
O
n the first Sunday of June, hundreds of communities across the country, across the globe and around the corner celebrated National Cancer Survivors Day ®. The significant day was a celebration for those who have survived the disease, an inspiration for those recently diagnosed, a support system for families and loved ones, and an outreach to the community all in an effort to honor survivors and to pass the message to the world that there is life after a cancer diagnosis. The day also encouraged survivors to connect with each other, celebrate milestones, and recognize those who have helped them through the process. The Memorial Cancer Institute and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital was sure to celebrate just the same. However, they didn’t have just any celebration. With the help of Macy’s, the renowned Hollywood facility presented a fashion show. The show featured current cancer patients and survivors as runway models as part of Memorial’s comprehensive survivorship program, which supports patients at all stages of the recovery process. Research has shown that patients who have a support system have better outcomes than those primarily battling on their own. The anticipated event
was an opportunity for the community to see that it has an active, productive cancer survivor population. It also was an opportunity to bring awareness of the challenges and tribulations these survivors face during and after treatment. Cancer patients and survivors younger than two-years-old and as old as seventy-nine-year-old took an emotional stroll down the runway wearing clothing provided by the popular department store as they were escorted by those most important to them during their medical journey. These escorts were the very proud parents, doctors, nurses, family, and friends who were critical contributors to their treatment accomplishments and fight against the deadly disease. “This was a special opportunity to empower our adult and pediatric cancer patients at an event that celebrated treatment milestones, survivorship, and the lives of those that have been touched by our

he 2019 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE19) Conference was held this past June in Philadelphia. Nearly 23,000 educators, education leaders, and corporate representatives from around the world attended the annual event including three young students and three dedicated teachers from Scheck Hillel Community School. “Bold Educators Activate Change” was the perfect theme to describe Scheck Hillel presenters. Rising first-grader Sophie Kravetz (Class of ’31) presented alongside Jake Kravetz (Class of ’26) and Ellie Esquenazi (Class of ’24), as well as faculty: first-grade teacher Cheryl Cooper, fifth-grade teacher Jenna Kraft and Nancy Penchev, and I LAB Instructor and Lower School Technology Coordinator. Jake and Mrs. Penchev shared Scheck Hillel’s use of Padlet, an application to create an online bulletin board to display information and collaborate on any topic. Padlet founder and CEO Nitesh Goel praised the presentation and applauded how Scheck Hillel uses his technology. Ms. Kraft and Jake Jake Kravetz
welcomed a steady flow of traffic to their poster presentation about leveraging student interest to improve classroom engagement. They showed their use of Minecraft in math, reading, and science, as well as examples like Battleship Sophie Kravetz Math, Final Four Math and Oregon Trail. Students and teachers across the many disciplines were inspired and eager to build upon these ideas in their own classrooms. While Jake was showcasing his knowledge at ISTE for the third consecutive year, his little sister was a first-time presenter. Together the sibling duo presented “Robots We Love: Why and How We Use Them”. “I was so happy to share what I’ve learned at school with everyone at ISTE,” exclaimed Sophie. Ms. Cooper and Mrs. Penchev featured Scheck Hillel’s social studies lab activities with more than seventy teachers and received tremendous feedback. All three teachers also collaborated to present an interactive lecture with administrators, teachers, and leaders about the power of blended learning. Ellie and Mrs. Penchev shared the astounding
success of Scheck Hillel’s “Girls Building STEAM” program, which teams Lower School students with Upper School mentors to investigate ecological issues specific to the South Florida environment. They received prestigious grants from the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and The Technology, Education, Research & Redesign Alliance (TERRA, Inc.). One Canadian teacher Luke Persaud of Toronto gushed about Ellie’s presentation via Twitter: “My favourite part of meeting @eHillel #fashion #sustainable programs, outside of the community supports is that students like #ellietalksSTEAM @iste #ISTE19 are part of securing Ellie Esquenazi the grants and leading the interviews #studentvoicematters.” “We made many connections to share our learning with classrooms in Jewish and public schools across the country,” said Penchev. ISTE is home to a passionate community of global educators who believe in the power of technology to transform teaching and learning, accelerate innovation, and solve tough problems in education.

Going for Gold – Smart Cookies from Hollywood Troops Earn Prestigious Award BY BEVERLY PERKINS
I
n early May, the organization held their annual Gold Award Ceremony honoring the 2019 class of Gold Award Girl Scouts. Among the eighteen Girl Scouts presented with their Gold Award this year were Hollywood residents Leyra Espino-Nardi of Troop 10794 and Baela Ferrigno formerly of Troop 10155 and current Adult Member of Girl Scouts. The level of commitment to complete a Gold Award project is so great that less than 6% of all Girl Scouts in the world earn it. Leyra’s project titled Riding the Waves: Hydrocephalus Help Kits was designed to help families affected by a condition in which excess cerebrospinal fluid builds up within the ventricles the brain and may increase pressure within the head. First, she created “Help Kits” to distribute to parents when their children were diagnosed. She further went on to present an educational seminar to those with children in a hospital’s NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), and then focused on teaching teenagers how to take care of their medical needs. Finally, she created a blog with updated and correct information and insights. “I think the most successful part of my project was the direct giving of the kits to the parents. It is incredibly rewarding to help parents. The website

will have the longest impact, and I know it will be remembered far after my project is completed. The kits are only a starting point. In a sense, with my project, I lit the Olympic torch, it is up to the others to pass along the torch to the final destination,” stated the ambitious scout.
Baela’s Gold Award project titled Save the Bees focused on raising awareness about the disappearance of wild bees from the environment and showing others how to get involved to make a difference. During the first of two components of the project, the insightful scout introduced a comprehensive educational series explaining the ecosystem, why bees are in decline and what can be done to help save them. In the second component of the project, she demonstrated and taught volunteers how to build a bee condo. “Even just using a minimal amount of insecticides or calling a beekeeper for bee removal instead of an exterminator, makes all the difference. I learned that while leadership positions can be stressful, it is very rewarding to see something you organized and planned come to life,” expressed Ferrigno. The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout in grades 9 – 12 can earn. It is accomplished by completing a service project with a minimum of 80 logged hours. The project must fulfill a need in the community, create change, and be sustainable with long-term possibilities. Gold Award Projects demand the highest level of organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR
Things Are on the Up and Up in Hollywood BY MAYOR JOSH LEVY ummertime is an important time of the year. Kids are on break before matriculating to the new school year. High school grads are getting ready for college, technical school, or joining the workforce. Families are hosting reunions and taking trips. Businesses are using the time to reinvest in themselves before the high season returns. Just like a business or household, much of what city government can aspire to deliver to its residents depends on the income or “revenue” that we have to work with. The source of most of the revenue that makes up the city’s “general fund” is property tax revenue, which is calculated by multiplying the taxable value of all of Hollywood’s residential, commercial and industrial properties by the city’s millage rate. The good news for us in Hollywood is that due to the strong economy and the continuing personal, public and private investment that we are all making in our city, our total taxable value has grown from $13.2 billion at the start of 2016 to $17.4 billion at the start of 2019. A 32% rise in property value in such a short number of years is exceptional, and we see the upward trajectory continuing in the years ahead as we continue to usher our city through a needed period of reinvestment. The point of it all is to ensure that city government has the revenue necessary to continue to fund and improve city operations, including police, fire-rescue, public works, code enforcement, parks and more - with the city’s millage/tax rate staying the same. About a third of your total property taxes go to fund city operations, with the other thirds going to fund the county school system and county government, respectively. City staff, led by the City Manager, are beginning to organize the general obligation bond investments that voters approved in March to improve city parks, sports fields, golf courses, arts education facilities, a new police headquarters, fire/rescue equipment, neighborhood traffic calming measures, corridor landscaping, seawalls to protect against sea-level rise, sound walls and more. Another effort is the Inter-local Agreement with Broward County. Programs to help qualifying residents with repairing older homes, first-time home-buyer assistance, resident work-skills programs, neighborhood infrastructure improvements for sidewalk repair and more are included. Please visit our city’s website, go to the “Community Development” page and click “Neighborhood Pride Programs (ILA)” on the top left. If you qualify for one of the grants, we and the county have set aside significant dollars to invest in you and your home. Additional things to look forward to are “free little libraries” at city parks, a guide to the beautiful coral reefs just offshore at Hollywood Beach, events at the Young Circle ArtsPark, and completion of the FDOT road projects on A1A and Hollywood Blvd. Last but not least, please make sure to be prepared for hurricane season. I hope everyone’s family is doing well, and that you have a great rest of the summer. Yours Always,

Row, Row, Row Your Boat – Scheck Hillel Student Earns Two Silvers at Rowing Competition BY BEVERLY PERKINS

check Hillel Community School student Samuel Merenfeld earned second place in the Florida Scholastic Rowing Association (FSRA) 2019 State Sculling and Sweep Championship, in Sarasota, FL. His winnings were in the category of “Boys Freshman Double” for the sculling competition and varsity “boys lightweight 4+” for the sweep championship. Youth rowing is becoming quite popular and growing expoSamuel Merenfeld nentially in the state, but Samuel actually became interested in the unique sport after spending years watching his older brother train and compete at many rowing regattas. He then witnessed his sibling earn a spot on the prestigious crew team at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The Class of ’22 Scheck Hillel student seems to be following his brother’s lead one stroke at a time. In 2018/2019, as a freshman, Samuel was chosen to row at varsity level at the Miami Beach Rowing Club. He and his teammates placed second place at the 2018 US Rowing Southeast Youth Championship. “The great win placed Samuel in a very com-

petitive position, which exceeded his coaches’ and teammates’ expectations,” explained his mother Miriam Merenfeld. This past season was incredibly exciting for Samuel and his family. As a freshman, the ambitious teen competed at varsity level, earning first and second place in all competitions including State completions. The 2019 season ended on a high note, as Samuel and his rowing partner Koby Feldman, placed fourth in the Southeast Youth Championships in the Varsity Men’s Youth LTWT Final A. “Rowing hasn’t only made me strong physically; the mental aspect that has developed is what makes
the sport so special. No other sport could ever have the same effect within a person. This mental strength is what gives me the push I need to succeed in any field,” stated Samuel. “Through rowing and his studies, Samuel has learned that focus, hard work, and dedication are crucial to reaching your goals,” added his proud mother. Samuel’s studies at Scheck Hillel are his top priority and he keeps a great balance between his hard work in the classroom and within rowing. Ultimately, he wishes to be recruited to a top university. “Scheck Hillel is proud of Sammy’s achievement, and we wish him all the best as he advances to earn a spot at Nationals, all the while making us proud of his commitment, values and character. He is a student-athlete role model for his peers.” said Vanessa Donaher, Head of Scheck Hillel Community School.

Backyard Bliss BY NEVINE GROULX, ETHNICA DESIGNS often hear people saying that it’s the “Back to School Time of the Year” which means it is the end of summer. But on the contrary, our summer in South Florida is endless. We are blessed with a forecast that other states envy year-round. They don’t call us the “Sunshine State” for nothing. This time of year is actually perfect to evaluate the need to upgrade your backyard when the children return back to school Most stores start their annual end of summer clearance sales by mid-August which is a terrific opportunity to start shopping and to consider redesigning your pool and backyard area. As much as we love to get cozy in the living room or lounge around in bed, creating the perfect backyard can turn into a true sanctuary. Your outdoor space can be as inviting, comfortable and stylish as your interior space. The backyard is an area to reconnect with nature and unwind in the fresh air. So instead of saturating your backyards with extra furniture and décor, focus on landscaping and unique designs. What happens when an interior designer turns her creative attention outdoors? A gorgeous backyard makeover that raises the bar on backyard redesign everywhere! These suggestions can transform a backyard into a family paradise: ▸▸ Invest in an inground pool surrounded by a sun-draped garden and canopy of trees. ▸▸ Hang some string lights in the seating area for extra style points and a romantic summery vibe. ▸▸ Upgrade your seating. Swing sofas are the perfect blend between benches and hammocks, and they are also visually intriguing especially if you play with scale and proportion. ▸▸ Add a covered pergola which gives a heavenly look and make it a focal spot for lunch or teatime by adding bistro table and chairs. ▸▸ Consider building an outside kitchen with eye-catching tile design to cook and BBQ. For more stylish entertaining outdoors, add a bar. ▸▸ Consider an outdoor clubhouse instead of the usual fabric canopy. This will make your backyard feels like a luxury resort in some far away destination. ▸▸ Make your backyard kid-friendly by creating an epic play structure and adding a twisty water slide and plenty of greenery. It will have childlike glee written all over it. Outdoor showers are also a great addition. An interior designer can transform an entire backyard into a big beautifully decorated and styled outdoor living room to enjoy with friends and family all year round, not just summertime.

The Value of Fat in Cosmetic Surgery
A leading source for information about Your Community Schools and Local & Regional Businesses
BY CHARLES A. MESSA, III, M.D., F.A.C.S. he future of plastic surgery lies in stem cell science and optimization of fat grafting for soft tissue augmentation. For years, patients focused on eliminating fat. Today, fat (or adipose) cells are utilized for restoration of soft tissue volume loss that occurs with aging. Recent advancements in stem cell isolation have led to the application of stem cell enriched fat grafts. A fat transfer involves harvesting a patient’s own fat cells through a lipo-aspiration procedure, then separating the fat cells from the accompanying serum into a pure fat cell graft for transfer to the face, body, or breasts to restore soft tissue volume. Research has shown that when fat cells are enriched with stem cells to form culture expanded adipose desired stem cells (ASC), there is a higher quantity and quality of newly formed adipose and connective tissue. With this technique, the amount of fat which survives after a lipofilling procedure improves to 80 – 90% with more predictable and long-lasting results. Fat cells survive in the range of 50 – 75% with present techniques requiring over correction of the soft tissue defect to ensure proper enhancement. The term stem cell when used in advertisements for facelifts and hair transplants is not applicable, because stem cells haven’t been isolated clinically for these procedures. Using the term ‘stem cell facelifts’ is an attempt by the advertiser to mislead patients into thinking they are receiving a new cutting-edge procedure. Scientifically, fat cells do contain immature stem cells, as well as platelet rich plasma, which have a higher portion of stem cells than plasma alone. When fat is injected into the face, theoretically a small concentration of stem cells may be present in the newly grafted fat. For buttock enhancement, autologous fat transfer procedure has become the procedure of choice to improve size, shape, and lifting of the buttocks. In recent years, fat grafts have been used in breast reconstruction procedures, both for post-mastectomy reconstruction and post breast augmentation contour irregularities. Autologous fat grafting procedures are being utilized for primary breast augmentation more often for women who desire a small increase in breast size and fullness. The technique is still being studied to determine its long-term effects, including issues with mammography and subsequent breast cancer detection. The techniques for maximizing results in fat transfer have evolved over the past several years. With ongoing research and clinical application, fat will be used universally for soft tissue augmentation and become the gold standard for such procedures. Dr. Messa is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and has achieved the award Black Diamond with Allergan. As a Black Diamond Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Messa is in the top 1% of plastic surgery practices in the country by volume.

Colleen and Bruce Jenkins recently enjoyed a bit of a holiday in Europe. The Hollywood couple loved visiting the “City of Love” and filled their time in Paris, France engaging in art, cuisine, and culture. Of course, on their “must-see” list was the Eiffel Tower. They said, “Oui s’il vous plaît!“ when asked to take a souvenir photo with Our City Hollywood in front of the architectural wonder.

The knee is made up of ligaments, cartilage, fluid, and bone which all work together. If any part of the knee structure is damaged or diseased, everyday life may be severely impacted. In order to determine the right treatment and recovery method, it’s best to define the exact kind of pain to your physician. Knee pain may vary depending on the location and the severity. Some signs and symptoms may include: ▸▸ Swelling and stiffness ▸▸ Redness and warmth to the touch ▸▸ Weakness or instability ▸▸ Popping or crunching noises ▸▸ Inability to fully straighten the knee ▸▸ Inability to bear weight on your knee ▸▸ Knee feels like it “gives out” ▸▸ Knee feels “locked” and cannot be straightened or flexed ▸▸ Difficulty climbing stairs ▸▸ Visual deformity Many types of minor knee pain may respond well to self-care measures such as icing, wearing a knee brace, and elevating legs at the end of the day. However, in some cases, one may require pain management intervention to relieve the pain. Non-surgical, non-invasive treatments include: Physical Therapy - Strengthening exercises focused upon quadriceps, hamstrings (biceps femoris), and hip musculature can help stabilize the knee and slow or prevent further degenerative changes. ▸▸ Pharmacological Intervention – NSAIDs to reduce inflammation are often prescribed. ▸▸ Corticosteroid Injection – An injection into the knee joint can often provide pain relief. ▸▸ Knee Viscosupplementation – A thick and viscous fluid can be injected in one or a series of injections for pain due to arthritic changes classified as mild to moderate. ▸▸ Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) – Nerves are heated using radiofrequency energy in an injectable type of procedure for 90 seconds, with results of pain relief lasting 6-12 months. ▸▸ Amniotic Allograft Injection – Amniotic product morselizes the amnion tissue in an effort to preserve its structural properties in an injectable form. ▸▸ Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) – The patient’s own bone marrow is used to regenerate tissue and create bone formation.

MESSAGE FROM THE POLICE CHIEF
Stolen Airbags: A Lucrative Business BY NORTH MIAMI BEACH CHIEF OF POLICE WILLIAM “BILL” HERNANDEZ, MSM The latest overnight incident in one of the North Miami Beach neighborhoods was a rash of vehicle breakins in which roaming miscreants prowled various parking lots looking to pounce. Indeed, with relative ease, they have been ripping out of the cars the pricey part they were targeting - the airbags. “Because of their portability, airbags can easily be removed as a complete module and installed as “new” by unscrupulous collision repair shops,” the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) stated. A thief pops an unprotected airbag out of a steering column by unscrewing a few bolts and snipping a couple of wires. It takes about 60 seconds. The experts say that airbags are rapidly surpassing car stereos and hubcaps as the prime target of the automotive black market. Stolen airbags are in high demand because they have a street value to crooks. “If it wasn’t for corrupt repair shops, airbag theft wouldn’t exist,” said Jon Hoch of the NICB, which tracks auto-related theft. “They are the people recruiting crooks, and they are what’s driving demand.” The airbag black market is just as driven by supply and demand as any other. Because airbags are specific to car makes and models, black market dealers often put in orders for certain vehicle kinds. For example, the Hondas are popular targets. The dishonest mechanic, who bought the stolen airbag illegally for $200, will then charge the vehicle owners or their insurer the full price for the replacement, thus committing insurance fraud. However, investigators note that putting airbags thieves out of business is a much more daunting task. “The problem law enforcement has is that the serial numbers on airbags are concealed inside the bag,” observes Jerry Smith, who investigates car theft in the Washington, D.C. area for the Insurance Crime Bureau. The insurance industry and police are pressing carmakers to code the bags with the vehicle’s identification number. That would allow the police to quickly check to see if the bag has been stolen. As it now stands, before the car manufacturers could design an airbag so it would not work if it is stolen, there are a few things you can do to reduce the chances of your airbag being stolen. Many of them will help prevent car theft in general: ▸▸ Use a steering wheel locking device, like “The Club”. ▸▸ Park in a well-lit location ▸▸ Keep your car locked ▸▸ Do not leave valuables in plain sight. Lastly, airbag theft is a growing concern for car owners, police and insurance companies. Therefore, if you have seen anything at all that might be suspicious in the area; the North Miami Beach Police wants you to call 911 right away or 305949-5500. Additionally, if you suspect Insurance Fraud or Theft, SPEAK UP! Call the NCIB TOLL-FREE HOTLINE: 1-800-835-6422. Your call is free. Your call can be anonymous. You could be eligible for a reward.
