I

n the span of just six days, eleven people were murdered at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a man murdered two black shoppers at a grocery store outside of Louisville, Kentucky, and a local man mailed more than a dozen pipe bombs to prominent critics of the President. In summary, it was a horrible week for our country that was driven, in part, by division and hatred. Shortly after the horrible events in Pittsburgh however, Tarek El-Messidi, a founder of the Muslim group Celebrate Mercy, set up a fundraising initiative in partnership with another Muslim group called MPower Change on behalf of the Tree of Life victims. Their goal was to raise $25,000 to help the Jewish families impacted by the assault. In a matter of days, they had raised more than $250,000, mostly from Muslim donors. Perhaps as important as the financial aid is the message they sent: we are all in this together. El-Messidi emphasized his motivation to help was driven by a sense of shared humanity, “We are here for you, if you need anything at all. If you need food for the families, if you just need someone to come to the grocery store because you don’t feel safe, we will be there for you.” In this time of extreme division, we can all learn from the example of the actions of these thoughtful, generous people. When we sit down with our families this holiday season, regardless of whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas or nothing at all, we must all remember that we are in this together, not against each other. Sincerely,

Christy & Terry Jaillet

Home for the Holidays BY BEVERLY PERKINS

G

oodbye ghosts, goblins, turkeys and pumpkin spiced lattes, it’s time to say, “Hello December!” ‘Tis the season to start making those lists and checking them twice, and then deciding where to go and what to do to with those naughty and nice. Although South Florida may not have the chill in the air or snowballs to throw, there are an abundance of activities available no matter what one celebrates. Chanukah is early this year, and the Chabad Chayil is having a Chanukah Street Fair on December 2nd from 2:00-6:00 pm on NE 211th Terrace between Dixie Hwy and NE 26th Street in North Miami Beach. A grand menorah lighting is the highlight of the event in addition to live performances, a holiday boutique, circus shows, food court, face painting, laser tag, and so much more. Next up to kick off the season is the 63rd Annual Candy Cane Parade on December 8th. The longest running parade begins at 7:00 pm along the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk at Scott Street and heads south to Harrison Street. The free event features marching bands, floats, and many community groups showing their holiday spirit. The following week on December 15th everyone is invited to Hope for the Holidays, the City of Hallandale Beach’s annual toy drive from 2:00-6:00pm at Foster Park before heading to the 12th Annual Christmas Near the Beach from 4:00-9:00 pm to celebrate the wonder of Christmas presented by EOJ Productions. The variety show will feature up-and-coming local

singers, dancers, bands and other talents. Most anticipate St. Nick’s visit to his beach house where he happily takes photos with his visitors. For those wanting more of a classic holiday experience, the ballet story of The Nutcracker will be presented by the City of Aventura on December 7th at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. On December 16th, the Suzuki Music Academy will have a free Children’s Holiday Concert at the Stirling Road Branch Library at 2:00 pm. Along with traditional holiday music, the children violinists will perform classic favorites by Bach, Mozart, Brahms, and Beethoven. Ongoing throughout the month is Gulfstream Park’s traditional Symphony of Lights which continues through December 31st at Champions Plaza. Attendees can take in the beauty of the 50-foot tree, and synchronized light show every hour on the hour from 6:00 pm-10:00 pm. Holiday train rides will take from place 6-10 p.m. on Dec. 16-17 and Dec. 23-24. Guests will be able to visit and take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 6-10 p.m. on Dec. 2-3, Dec. 9-10, Dec. 16-17 and Dec. 23-24. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be joined by jugglers, toy soldiers, and stilt walkers. All are completely free of charge and everyone is welcome. Finally, kids of all ages can visit Santa’s Workshop through December 24th during scheduled hours at the Aventura Mall. The magnificent, 60-foot tall holiday display with sparkling gift boxes, 10-foot tall teddy bears, 13-foot tall candy canes, classic English-style rocking horses, 12-foot tall toy soldiers, and more will delight all visitors.

Santa Claws is Coming to Town for the PURR-fect Photo Opportunity BY BEVERLY PERKINS

N

ow in its seventh year, VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital has joined forces with Meals and Wheels of South Florida for Companion Pets (BMOW) to collect food for pets of homebound seniors throughout Broward County. The reputable animal hospital has also become one of Santa’s permanent stops during the holiday season. All four-legged friends are welcome to stop by and take a free photo with the jolly bearded man in the big red suit and make a pet food donation. The annual event coincides with the final day of the pet food drive for the Meals on Wheels for Companion Pets Program. The program was started when volunteers began to notice clients sharing their meals with their pets. Seniors on a restricted budget can have a difficult time meeting their own needs and often the needs of their companion animals can be neglected. More than 100 humans and their beloved canines and felines are expected to come out to the anticipated pre-holiday celebration on Saturday, December 15th from 9:00 am-12:00 pm at the VCA

Hollywood Animal Hospital. Through the support of volunteers and donations from events like these, pet food is delivered once a month to these loyal companion animals. All pet lovers are invited to stop by with a donation of canned, dry, or dehydrated food for cats or dogs. This year there is a great need for cat food. “Each month, Meals on Wheels of South Florida for Pets uses over 800 lbs. of pet food alone for the southern portion of Broward County. This food collection goes a long way to help feed the furry family members of the seniors in need here in Broward,” explained Bobbi Arnold, Co-Chair of Meals on Wheels of South Florida. Last year the results from the pet food drive were astounding with a collection of 2400 lbs. of food and over $1000 in donations. Through the generous support of the sponsors, the event has had a positive impact on the community. Additionally, VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital will once again match a portion of the

donations received. Not only has VCA Animal Hospitals earned a solid reputation for offering the very best in veterinary medicine as well as the latest technological advances and therapies, they believe that giving back to the community that support them is paramount. VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital is located at 2864 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, just one block east of I-95. For more information, please call 954-920-3556.

Temple Solel Members Create Awareness of an Ongoing Sea-cret! BY BEVERLY PERKINS

M

embers of Temple Solel want the community to know about a serious issue that has a significant impact on Southeast Florida homes, communities, and businesses. Although, it’s technically not a secret, many are unaware of a situation that does affect many cities close to the ocean including Hollywood. The culprit is Mother Nature’s rise of the sea levels. A few years ago, Sea Level Rise (SLR) Solutions Project of South Florida partnered with advocates at the Hollywood synagogue to create awareness of the ongoing worrisome situation. Despite all the efforts and national media spotlights, the public in Southeast Florida may not perceive the threat of SLR to be

immediate. They may also not be aware of actions they can currently take to assist in regional efforts to build resilience, and to democratize flood risk management. Therefore, the community leader and clearinghouse on SLR once again organized and sponsored their “3rd Annual King Tide Flooding Event” a couple of months ago with members of Temple Solel. Young activists who participated and helped organize the early morning event were Rebecca Adler, Sara Pearl Adler, Dylan Bober, and Ethan Bober. Even though the project was created by temple members, it was open to the entire community. The event commenced at the corner of Madison Street and South Southlake Drive in East Hollywood. Those that participated were able to watch the annual King Tides push water over Hollywood’s sea walls which then spilled over to the low-lying residential streets. The event coincided with the anticipated highest tides of the year in early October. During the King Tide event, members of the SLR Solutions Project of South Florida documented flooding. Keren Bolter, an environmental science professor, educated attendees while students, and members of the SLR Solution Project of South Florida assisted participants in becoming citizen scientists. Participants

were guided in measuring the salinity and depth of flooding and encouraged to photograph flooding for incorporation into Broward County’s database. Witnessing the King Tide is like a window into the future of sea level rise in Florida, when we will experience frequent flooding events and the disruption of neighborhoods and businesses in the path of rising waters,” noted Scott Lewis, a founding member of the SLR Project. Both Hollywood’s current Mayor, Josh Levy, and the former Mayor, Peter Bober, were in attendance to bring light to the issue of Sea Level Rise. “When you watch water, literally, creeping down streets, and overtaking them within minutes, you begin to see that sea level rise is the greatest threat facing South Florida’s future,” commented former Hollywood Mayor Peter Bober. For more information on how to become involved in the Sea Level Rise Solutions Project of South Florida, please contact Scott Lewis at 954-801-7170 or email Scotlewg@gmail.com.

CAN DO KID

Hollywood Teen is On a Mission to Find SOLutions for Environmental Issues BY BEVERLY PERKINS

S

ometimes it takes little people to solve big problems, and one local 14-year-old is doing just that. Joey Goldstein, founder of Saving Ocean Life (SOL), recently received the “Youth Environmental Excellence Award” by SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. The prestigious award is given to outstanding young people who lead exemplary environmental education and conservation projects. The nationwide competition had many participants and Joey was the youngest recipient to win for her efforts in creating SOL in 2015. The young environmentalist’s mission is to prevent pollution on the beaches through organized beach clean-ups and to spread awareness throughout the community. SOL plans events four times a year

and encourages all ages to attend. An educational component is also incorporated into the event to educate the youth of today with hopes to decrease the amount of trash on our beaches tomorrow. Participants have learned about sea turtles, sharks and Florida’s coral reefs. Additionally, SOL has hosted a turtle release and a shark tagging excursion. The passionate teen’s “Trash Treasure Hunt” combines a beach clean-up along with the excitement of a treasure hunt where participants can win prizes. “Even though I’m still a kid I believe it’s important to save the ocean and the beautiful creatures for the generations to come,” explains Joey. By receiving this award, Joey is sure to accomplish her goals. SeaWorld hosted the award winners for a behind

the scenes experience where they had the opportunity to spend the day at the park learning from marine biologists and SeaWorld’s Rescue Team. The eighth-grade advocate said, “If kids want to get involved they should speak up and follow their passions. Even though they may have to take risks they should just go for it. There are so many things contributing to the destruction of our coast. We all must work together to make a difference. I plan to host three more events this year where I will encourage the community to come out and get involved.” For twenty-five years, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment has been recognizing superb efforts of students and teachers across the country who are continuously working at the grassroots level to protect and preserve the environment. The SeaWorld & Busch Gardens “Environmental Excellence Award” provides national recognition, funding and gratitude to support

the efforts of this next generation of conservation leaders. Awardees were selected through a nationwide application process coordinated by the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Youth Advisory Council. “I’d love for other kids to become SOLmates and work with me to make the oceans and beaches cleaner and safer. Kids can start SOL chapters in their schools with my help,” added Joey. n For more information visit savingoceanlife.org or follow SOL on Facebook at SOL Saving Ocean Life.

Live your best life now. Let us help you combat depression, anxiety and feeling miserable about most anything In his clinical practice, Dr. Donde helps guide individuals and couples toward living more rationally using REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy). As the stoic philosopher Epictetus said: “People are disturbed not by things, but by the views they take of them.” We largely create our own feelings through the beliefs and views we take of events that occur in our lives. For example, consider how differently people around us may respond to a tragic event despite observing similar physical stimuli. In the days and weeks following the event, individuals

will respond differently because of their beliefs and interpretations of the event. REBT serves to help clients learn to challenge irrational belief systems by identifying and disputing the faulty beliefs that cause and maintain our disturbances. To this end, REBT is as much a philosophical endeavor as it is a psychological intervention. Dr. Donde is honored to assist clients on the journey to living a more rational existence by taking control of their feelings through REBT.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS BY DEBBY TEICH

T

his month, families will celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. They will decorate trees; sing carols; and anxiously await the arrival of Santa Claus. They will light Menorahs; play with dreidels; and indulge in festive foods like latkes. They will focus on the seven core values of Kwanzaa; light the Kinara and place a Mkeka on the table. For many, it is a time for gift giving. The holidays can also be a wonderful time for families and friends to put down their electronics to reconnect and spend quality time together, as they celebrate old traditions and create new ones. It is an opportunity to teach children about their heritage and the true meaning of the holidays. Every family’s style of celebration is different, and it is those differences that make the holidays so magical. And remember, traditions don’t always have to be traditional; they come in all shapes, sizes and varieties. Below are some simple ways to celebrate both the traditions and spirit of the holidays. ▸ Make holiday foods together. So much of the holidays revolves around cooking and eating traditional foods. It is a great time to pass down a family recipe. Whether it is baking cookies and pies, frying latkes, or cooking brisket and turkey, get as many family members to help in the kitchen. Assign each one a task. Play some fun holiday music to make it even more festive. ▸ Limit your gift giving. Many families save all year to be able to afford a wide range of gifts for every family member. Decide on a designated amount, so everyone gets the same number. One might even be a trip or event that the whole family can do together. Or, skip the gifts and focus on being together and family traditions, instead of unwrapping gifts. ▸ Read a holiday book together. Pull out a copy of one your favorite holiday books from your childhood and read it with your kids. Or, read a new story together. ▸ Be kind to others. Volunteer as a family and do something special for someone else. Visit

a nursing home; collect food items for a local shelter; work in a soup kitchen or food bank; bring blankets to the homeless; or contact a nonprofit that needs a helping hand. Recount your childhood traditions. Children love to hear about how their parents celebrated when they were young. Talk about your own family traditions and ask the children to suggest new ones. Celebrate the holidays with your family long distance. Today’s technology makes it easy to connect with family that live in other places, so you can celebrate the holidays together and continue to make new memories. Wear the same pajamas. Watch the same movie at the same time. Place a group video call for some virtual caroling or a virtual dreidel game. Make a family recipe together, even if you are not in the same kitchen. Keep a smile on your face. A smile is often contagious. Try to smile as you go about your errands. Treat each sales clerk and cashier with kindness. Set the table with festive decorations. Get the kids involved in setting the table with crafts they made and other holiday decorations.

▸ Give a handmade gift. Instead of shopping in the traditional places, come up with something creative and make your own homemade gift. These are often the most meaningful gifts you can give. ▸ Adopt a needy family. There are so many children that long for gifts on the holidays. Adopt a family and find out what they want. You can even deliver the gifts as a family. ▸ Count down to the holidays. Extend the excitement of the holidays and start celebrating before they begin. Create a list of fun activities

that families can do together in the days prior. ▸ Create family rituals. Create a few rituals to observe each year that family and friends will look forward to as the season approaches. ▸ Watch television together. Gather the family together in one room to enjoy a holiday snack and watch a holiday classic. ▸ Make a Giving Tree. Buy a small artificial tree and hang paper ornaments with the names of charities and gifts the needy might want. Ask each child to select a charity and purchase the gifts. You can even deliver the gifts with the kids. ▸ Create a holiday craft together. Whether it is a Christmas tree ornament, Menorah or Kinara, spend quality time with the kids making simple crafts they can display. ▸ Make a gingerbread house. Explore your creativity (and sweet tooth) by decorating a gingerbread house together. Then display their masterpiece on your holiday table. If that is too difficult or time consuming, decorate gingerbread cookies instead. ▸ Plan a special day together. Plan to spend a day with your family and leave the electronics behind. Go to the beach, zoo, movies or plan a picnic in a park. ▸ Spread holiday cheer with baked goods. Deliver some of your baked goods to friends, family

and neighbors. Wrap them in holiday colors and include a special hand-printed message from the kids. ▸ Deck the halls. The most decorated area of the house is typically the living room. Spread holiday cheer to the bedrooms, hallways and other areas of the house. ▸ Call friends and relatives. Make a surprise call to someone who was not expecting it. They will be happy to hear from you.

Moderation Is the Best Approach to Cosmetic Surgery BY CHARLES A. MESSA, III, M.D., F.A.C.S. oo much of a good thing is not always the best. Moderation in life results in the ideal balance in many facets of our lives. This holds true for cosmetic surgery as well. From non-invasive treatments to plastic surgery procedures, moderation is the approach I feel yields the best long-term aesthetic results. We have all seen it – from celebrities to people in our local community. The “overdone” “overfilled” or excessively pulled face that resembles an aquatic animal or alien life form more than a natural aesthetic enhanced face or body. The most common mistake is the over injected face and mouth. When fillers are excessively injected to improve facial lines and wrinkles, the natural contours of the face become distorted. Too much Botox or Dysport can leave a patient with a flat, waxy appearing forehead or brow and a motionless mask-like face. The fish mouth or duck lips result from exaggerated injections of soft tissue fillers in and around the mouth. Soft tissue fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane should be injected to fill lines and creases and restore volume where is has been lost throughout the aging process. It is the physician’s responsibility to know when enough is enough with regard to appropriate injection volume. Facial skin laxity or looseness can’t be treated with fillers alone. Skin tightening, such as performed during a facelift, is necessary to lift and achieve the optimal cosmetic result in cases when soft tissue fillers are not sufficient. More filler does not tighten excess facial and neck skin. When facelift surgery is indicated, the technique utilized should be individualized according to the patient’s anatomy. Excessively large breast implants or oversized buttocks enhancement will lead to long term problems for these patients. Breast implant volume is ideally determined by careful measurement of a woman’s anatomy including breast width, height, soft tissue thickness and stretch. Bigger is not always better. Think moderation and individualized enhancement to achieve the ideal aesthetic improvements. The excessively large, wide buttock from large volume fat transfers or B.B.L. will eventually need to be reduced at some point in that person’s life as the effects of aging and gravity results in a large, sagging buttock. It is up to the physician, as the professional, to help guide a potential patient to make the appropriate decision to achieve best cosmetic enhancement. I highly recommend to any individual who is considering plastic surgery or any cosmetic procedure to consult with a physician who is board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) organization, such as the American Board of Plastic Surgery, with documented experience prior to proceeding. Dr. Messa is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, an active member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a recognized expert in cosmetic plastic surgery and has achieved Allergan’s Black Diamond Award as one of the top 1% of plastic surgery practices in the country by volume. Dr. Messa has also achieved Chairman status with Medicis and Mentor Corporation. This award honors distinguished leaders in cosmetic surgery for demonstrating expertise and excellence through a high volume of aesthetic product procedures. The certification is awarded to leaders in the field of medical aesthetics and demonstrates their commitment to innovation, excellence, and the highest level of patient care.

Cooled Radiofrequency Ablation BY EDWARD J. FRANKOSKI, D.O. hronic pain is defined as a long-standing persistent pain which continues beyond a usual recovery period or one which accompanies a chronic health condition. However, this type of pain differs from regular pain which simply goes away once the injury is healed. Chronic pain has nerve signals continually firing up after one is healed. This type of pain often prevents individuals from working, participating in physical activities, and just enjoying life. Many physicians define chronic pain as pain that lasts 3 to 6 months. During this time, they may offer and suggest treatments for such discomfort including medications, physical therapy, and even surgery. But when all methods have failed Cooled Radiofrequency Ablation (CRA) may be a great option and the best possible solution for the medical issue. Back pain is one of the most common medical problems in the United States. Typically, a symptom of a medical condition, back pain can occur in several locations including the cervical, thoracic, or lumbar areas. The other common area of pain is in the knee. Knee pain can be caused by a variety of things such as bone spurs, wornaway cartilage, or cartilage fragments in meniscus fluid. Osteoarthritis damages the slippery tissue that covers the ends of bones in a joint allowing the bones to rub together causing pain and stiffness. Although the disease occurs most often in older people, younger people may be susceptible after a joint injury. CRA is a minimally invasive treatment option which can bring non-surgical relief to those suffering from chronic pain, especially in the back and knee, without the use of narcotics. This option targets the nerves that transmit pain signals. An insulated electrode, or probe, is placed within the tissue which a radiofrequency generator then transmits a small current of RF energy through. The iconic heating produced by the friction of charged molecules thermally deactivates the sensory nerves responsible for sending those pain signals to the brain. Those who are candidates for the pain-reducing CRA procedure are those who have had chronic pain for at least three months, do not want to take pills regularly, and are not ready for surgery. As with anything else, your physician will discuss all the risks and potential complications when using such a device. Only a qualified physician can properly diagnose the medical issue and recommend appropriate treatments.

MESSAGE FROM THE POLICE CHIEF

Wishes for a Happy and Safe Holiday Season BY NORTH MIAMI BEACH CHIEF OF POLICE WILLIAM “BILL” HERNANDEZ, MSM

T

he holidays are the ripe time for criminals to take advantage of unsuspected victims. This means that our collective awareness and responsibility can make a difference. The North Miami Beach Police Department (NMBPD) wants to provide its residents with some tips to avoid being a victim during this holiday season. Shopping ▸▸ Be alert and aware of your surroundings. Do not be distracted by cell phone conversations. ▸▸ Park in a well-lit area and park as close as you can to your destination. ▸▸ When returning to your car, stop, listen, and look around. Stay alert to your surroundings. ▸▸ If you see or hear something suspicious, STOP! Ask security or store personnel to escort you to your vehicle. ▸▸ Have your keys out and ready when approaching your vehicle. ▸▸ Lock your vehicle – Thieves look for easy targets. ▸▸ Do not leave valuables in open view in your car; this is the time of year thieves do their own form of “window shopping”. ▸▸ Avoid carrying large amounts of cash; carry only the credit cards you intend to use. ▸▸ Do not overburden yourself with shopping bags. ▸▸ Crime deterrence begins with YOU, so if you see something suspicious, say something by calling the police. At Home ▸▸ Be extra cautious about locking doors and windows when you leave your house or apartment; even if it’s just for a few minutes. ▸▸ Do not advertise that you have gone away for the holidays, thieves like to know that they have plenty of time to break in and ransack your home. ▸▸ If you will be away from home for several days, plan for someone to watch your home and pick up your mail. An overstuffed mailbox is a sure sign that no one is home. ▸▸ Large displays of holiday gifts should not be visible through the windows and doors of your home. ▸▸ Do not pile up empty gift boxes such as, from your new computer, new television, or new tablet on the street for the garbage collector. Burglars appreciate knowing that you have expensive gifts inside for them to steal. Break the boxes down or cut them up better to conceal the items. ▸▸ When setting up a Christmas tree or other holiday display, make sure doorways and passageways are clear inside your home. ▸▸ If you use lights on your Christmas tree, ensure the wiring is not damaged or frayed. Frayed or damaged wiring can cause a fire. From all the men and women of the NMBPD, we wish you all a happy and safe holiday! Teresa and Jesse Diaz recently toured Moscow and were sure to visit the magnificent centerpiece of the Russian capital. The Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed, most commonly known as Saint Basil’s Cathedral, is one of the many tourist attractions in Red Square. Although once an Orthodox church, the colorful castlelike structure is now an iconic city museum and makes the perfect backdrop for a photo with Our City Hollywood.

Artis Senior Living to Open New Memory Care Assisted Living Community in Davie Artis Senior Living will be opening a 72suite memory care community in Davie for seniors affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of demen-tia. Residents will be able to move freely among neighborhoods in the one-story, 35,000 square foot community. They can also take advantage of an outdoor area on three acres of secured land. The community is strategically located at 2794 S. Flamingo Road, so it is easily accessible from Florida’s Turnpike, I-595, and I-75. Amy DePreker, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, answered some questions about the new Memory Care Assisted Living Community. Describe the community. The community will be comprised of four neighborhoods designed to create

an intimate environment with familiar living spaces. The central core, known as the “Town Center,” will feature a host of amenities, including a neighborhood center for community gatherings and a studio for activities, as well as a health center, beauty and barber shop. How do you tailor each person’s living experience? Artis Senior Living of Davie strives to make sure that its residents and their families have a say in how they live. Our philosophy centers around empowerment, pride and fulfillment for all our residents. Instead of a one-size-fits-all philosophy, the experience is tailored specifically to each person to ensure independence, dignity and quality of life. What is “The Artis Way? ” We follow what we call “The Artis Way.” Each letter of the word Artis stands for a tenet of the organization.

▸ “A” is the ability to have a voice. We want residents and their families to engage in open communication with our associates to make sure that what we’re doing is the right fit for them.

▸ “R” is about respecting and maintaining relationships. ▸ “T” stands for treasuring each person’s uniqueness. ▸ “I” is for integrity. We promote dignity and respect. ▸ “S” is for success and recognition.

How many people are aff ected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia? Every 67 seconds, someone develops Alzheimer’s disease. By 2025, the number of people ages 65 and older with Alzheimer’s disease is estimated to reach 7.1 million. Dementia is becoming more and more of an epidemic. Therefore, the more quality care we can offer, the more fulfilling the lives of those with dementia can lead.

For information, visit www.artisseniorliving.com, send an email to davie@artismgmt.com, call 954-990-8941 or visit the temp sales office at 4789 SW 148th Ave, Suite 105, in Davie.
