In addition to those that were taken, we also acknowledge and remember the 17 people who were physically injured on February 14 and the hundreds more who were traumatized. Everyone who lived in our community that day was somehow affected, and many of the emotions from that day may resurface as we near the fourth-year mark. in Tallahassee, and it is my honor to file a house resolution again this year recognizing February 14, 2022, as “Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Memorial Day” in Florida, a day of remembrance for all of those who lost their lives, and whose lives were forever changed, as a result of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
