HER STORY
Kimberly’s journey into the early childhood field started when she had to send her daughter to pre-school. She remembers dropping her sweet baby off and thinking how lucky the ladies would be working with the children. She decided then to pursue her dream job: Fingerpainting, playing with play-dough, reading stories, dancing and singing, exploring sand, and making an edible school bus. HOW HAS BEING A WOMAN AFFECTED YOUR CAREER?
I had to learn fast how to juggle motherhood and a new career when I started Real Estate. I was lucky enough to have a husband that encouraged me and supported me to follow my dreams.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOUNG WOMEN?
Always reach for the stars and never let anyone tell you that you can’t be successful.

nursing to Early Childhood Education and has been in the field for over 30 years. Every hug, smile, and laugh of each of the children she has had the pleasure of teaching makes it all worthwhile.
HOW HAS BEING A WOMAN AFFECTED YOUR CAREER?
Being a woman gave me a better understanding of how hard it is to juggle family and career. As a mother of four, and a grandparent of 7, I know what a big decision it is to leave your baby or young child in the care of someone you do not know. It is such an honor when parents choose our program. I do my best to provide a family-friendly atmosphere with all my heart while also providing a safe environment with open communication with parents. .
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOUNG WOMEN?
I believe that caring for and teaching young children is the most important job on the planet. It is also the most rewarding career that impacts little humans’ lives. The day you spend with the children exploring, playing, and growing help turn each child in your care into a good citizen. Then, in turn, it makes the community where you live a better place, now and in the future..
