Weston’s Annual Hometown Fourth of July Celebration Parade

Show off your patriotic pride at Weston’s annual Hometown Celebration Parade! Weston’s Hometown Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration

Come listen to T. J. Hartung as he presents "Orchids of Mexico." T. J. is a retired computer systems specialist and systems analyst whose love of orchids began while living in California and started growing Cymbidiums. Retiring to Mexico he began rescuing orchids from downed trees and broken limbs learning from the great outdoors and researching. He is proud to be on the Board of Directors of the Vallarta Botanical Gardens in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Join us to learn and share together. Doors open at 7:00pm, meeting begins at 7:30pm. JULY 4 Fourth of July Hometown Celebration 5K Run/Walk

Gather your family and friends and join the race this Independence Day holiday. It’s hot and humid in South Florida in July, but we are prepared! Race participants always enjoy the popular “hook and ladder shower” at the finish line where race participants will enjoy cooling off. Nature POP®! Art Weekend at Flamingo Gardens

This event will showcase art and the animals of the Nature POP®! Exhibit by Sean Kenney. Watch Plein Air and Chalk Artists create beautiful works before your eyes and kids can design their own chalk art masterpieces on the sidewalk and in the Art Reaching Today’s Kids Art Bus. Turtle Walk

Your adventure begins at the Museum of Discovery and Science with a presentation about turtles and then continues at Fort Lauderdale Beach where a Museum expert guides you to sea turtle nesting grounds. We can’t guarantee a nesting sea turtle will be spotted on every walk, but when it happens, it’s a natural wonder you will never forget!
