July 4th is a special day for America. On this day in 1776, America became independent from Great Britain. Since then, July 4th has become a holiday in which we reflect upon how lucky we are to be free. Like the rest of America, the Rotary Club of Weston proudly celebrates Independence Day every year. For more than 117 years, Rotary's people of action have used their collective passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on projects around the world. Rotary is made up of 1.4 million passionate individuals in 35,000+ clubs worldwide. The Rotary Club of Weston leads change and makes an impact in Weston, throughout South Florida, and internationally. Rotarians and their families are people of purpose, influence, and action. We believe that we have a shared responsibility to combat our world's most persistent issues: promoting peace, fighting diseases, saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies, and providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene. In addition, Rotary provides service to others, promotes integrity, and advances world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

For the past 18 years, Rotary has participated in Weston's annual 4th of July parade. It is a wonderful feeling to see a child waving along the parade route and know that we share this beautiful city.

Rotary's parade float is one of many events we participate in to support our local community and others we host. The 2nd
