■ SEEN ON SCENE FOURTH OF JULY
The Weston community showed its patriotic pride throughout Independence Day Weekend. This year's festivities kicked off in the evening on Sunday, July 3rd. Thousands flocked to Weston Regional Park for live entertainment, games, inflatable slides, events and, of course, the fireworks display.
This year's theme for Weston's Hometown Fourth of July Celebration Parade was: Fun, Freedom & Fireworks. Participants and onlookers dressed up in the best red, white and blue to enjoy the show.
Everyone loves a parade! Westonians arrived early to secure curbside seating along the parade route on Main Street. A seasonal shower at the beginning of the Parade added a bit of complication but the parade went off without a hitch.
Local businesses, civic groups, schools, bands, organizations, local elected leaders, and residents all participated. There were even visits from Uncle Sam and some of our favorite Disney characters. What a great time for all!
