When our young adult arm, YMI (English equivalent of warungsatekamu.org), decided to organise an apologetics talk for young people in Singapore, there were some voices of doubt. “Young people won’t come on a Saturday morning, they’ll be sleeping in after partying the night before.” “Young people are not interested in talking about religion.”
The apologetics conference drew 800 people—equal to the number of older readers who attend our Bible Conference each year. They fired so many questions at the speaker, Jose Philip, that he didn’t have time to answer them all; many even stayed behind to discuss things further. Then there were those who thought young people had no patience to read. Yet more than 600,000 people read the articles published in warungsatekamu.org each month. They were willing to take time to read, leave a comment, and even share the articles with their peers.
