Bobbitt Car Cruise

Brigantine Lions Car Show

1955 was a very memorable year. Among the many events of that year: Alaska and Hawaii became the 49th and 50th states, respectively, and TV shows like Bonanza debuted on television. It was also the year that Bobbitt Auto Sales was established in Salem, N.J. and it is still in business today. Teamed with the South Jersey Region Antique Auto Club of America, the Bobbitt dealership held its monthly cruise, which saw over 100 cruisers come out to share an evening. It’s really a cool happening when a dealership has 62 years of business. That dealership also displays its appreciation of classic and specialty rides when it hosts a car cruise.

The Jersey shore is home to many great communities. One of the those places is the town of Brigantine. This oceanside town recently hosted a car show that was for the benefit of the Seeing Eye Dog Program. Hosted by the Brigantine Lions Club at the Brigantine Community Center, this pre-1980 show brought out nearly 60 cars of all makes. There were also some vendors to check out, too. Classic rides coming for a great cause at the Jersey shore always equals a great day.
