SPARTACUS HOSTEL VALLARTA DRINKS SALCHIDOGO

Step into a world of gourmet hotdogs at Salchidogo, where flavor meets innovation, right in Zona Romantica. Salchidogo is Puerto Vallarta’s newest culinary gem, offering hotdogs unlike anything you’ve ever had.

These handcrafted artisanal hot dogs can be found at Basilio Badillo 329, Zona Romantica (near ACT2PV and the Corner Bar). Salchicha is the Spanish word for sausage, and dogo is Spanish slang for hot dog, hence the name Salchidogo.

On the logo you’ll see a wide-eyed chihuahua wearing a sombrero – his name is Chido, and with a love of all dogs by all three owners, they wanted Chido to become their mascot.

It's not a new business, but a new service offered by longtime food tour operator Vallarta Eats. Gay owned Vallarta Eats launched Vallarta Drinks in the summer of 2024. This unique drink tour lets you taste the flavor of Puerto Vallarta and get to know some of the favorite hot spots.

“In planning hundreds of custom food and drink tours, and weighing the success of our craft beer tour, we recognized not only the need for spiritsbased tours, but the need to give them their own home at VallartaDrinks.com,” explained Vallarta Eats owner Stephen Castrianni. “Though in the same family, Vallarta Drinks is the mischievous younger sibling of Vallarta Eats with tours to cater to guests here for una fiesta grande.”

Harkening back to the 1920s when alcohol was illegal to purchase (in the United States), a new “speakeasy” type bar offers a new concept that has yet to be seen in Zona Romantica. Step through the red velvet curtain into The Social Club, open nightly ‘til 4 a.m.! This hidden multi-level indoor/outdoor gem is a late-night escape for locals, tourists, LGBTQ+ friends, and anyone up for a memorable night. Sip on craft cocktails and soak in the vibes behind the mystery and jazz music. Are you ready to discover where jazz plays and spirits soar? The business is owned by Bryan Stocks, Roger Allen and Brian Kent, who are also business partners coowning club One Six One, The Porch (a breakfast restaurant) and The Brick Oven.

As Puerto Vallarta continues to grow as a popular LGBTQ+ destination, these new businesses offer a fresh and exciting addition to the local scene.
