JUNE 2017 "June-Gloom" (weather, US, Southern California) - Any of several gloomy weather conditions present during June mornings, especially conditions of clouds, cool temperatures, fog, or drizzle. Summer is almost here; which means it's almost time to relax, rest and recharge our batteries for another year, but that doesn't mean we should stop #resisting things we don't agree with. I am writing this letter while watching the results of the parliamentary elections in France, where the movement behind our young and inspirational president is winning. At the same time, UK slowly turns back towards the right direction, abandoning the party that bought them to so much division. Here in the U.S.A. , people walk for their rights during Gay Pride Weekend all across Los Angeles, chanting against oppression and regressive authority. This time of change also marks a new chapter for the magazine, while we bring even more creative and forward thinking artists to participate in this new BELLO mag, and this summer Entertainment Issue is a perfect example. We united with the cast of TNT's Animal Kingdom to create a beautiful and intense fashion story, made easy by the complexity of each of the very contrasting actors, and you can gasp that as they sat down with our entertainment editor Brent Lambert to talk about the new season of the show. We also had the opportunity to catch up with Ta'Rhonda Jones from Empire. June 28, 2017 is the official release date of Tilda Swinton’s highly anticipated new film OKJA. Directed by Bong Joon-ho (Snowpiercer), the film tells the story of young girl who risks everything to save her giant pet pig from the clutches of a food conglomerate (headed by Swinton). With major buzz out of Cannes, OKJA is sure to be a winner when it arrives on Netflix.

Maryland-based Ryan Celsius is blowing me away with his brilliant brand of lofi hiphop, chill trap, and experimental bass music. Case in point is this soundtrack for a Tokyo commute and all the other treasures that await you on his Soundcloud page at www.soundcloud.com/ryan-celsius.

Milan is buzzing, famous for outstanding Made In Italy design, and there is always an exciting event where you can watch the glamorous locals go by, whether it be the Milan Design Expo or Fashion Week. It is also well known for it’s tradition of the ‘aperitivo’, wine with a buffet of complimentary nibbles, where you can watch the glamorous well dressed locals go by while sipping a Campari cocktail.

Best Bars|Cafes Bar Basso If you want the true Milan experience, head to Bar Basso, the first ever bar in Milan to bring the ‘aperitivo’ to the masses, which they have been doing since 1947. The city’s trademark cocktail Negroni Sbagliato (or wrong Negroni), made with Campari, sweet vermouth and Prosecco, was invented here. Then there is the celebrated hazelnut ice cream cocktail Mangia e Bevi, which has been famous since the late 60s. Buono! To this day, owner Mirko Stocchetto is widely acknowledged as being the man who revolutionised the way people drink in Milan.

Not many people realize that Wes anderson designed a bar in Milan, Bar Luce, which is located at the Prada Foundation and inspired by 1950s and ’60s Milanese cafés, with wood panelling and Formica furniture. Miuccia Prada’s museum, The Prada Foundation, is an exhibition complex dedicated to contemporary art and culture, housed in a former a distillery. A must do for all fashion and architecture fans.

Porsha, Cookie’s assistant on Empire, is played by the Chicago born and raised Ta’Rhonda Jones. Working as a nurse before becoming a TV sensation, Ta’Rhonda tells her genuine story in an exclusive interview for Bello Mag.

The most beautiful dreams do come true and Ta’Rhonda James seems more like a fairytale character than a real life, flesh and bones person. I mean, she went from “zero to hero” in the blink of an eye and has become one of the most beloved characters on “Empire”, still one of the most acclaimed shows on television. There she plays Porsha, Cookie’s flamboyant assistant. And who doesn’t love Porsha? Genuine, strong-minded and very funny, Porsha always tells it like it is, and the notion of diplomacy is unknown to her. But that’s exactly what we love about her. Ta’Rhonda is very much like Porsha in real life also. Confident, competitive, driven and goofy, Ta’Rhonda has become famous after her role in Empire, for which she didn’t take any acting lesson. She is what she is. Following her audition, she said goodbye to her job in a nursing home from Chicago’s South Side and jumped ahead into the new adventure. So thrilling and how everything was going to change for her… What’s to learn from Ta’Rhonda is that life does give you opportunities if you just search them. And once found, don’t be coward or lazy to settle for less. Embrace everything. Just do it! It will be great! (emoticon victory sign)

Empire went off with a blast and in the last minutes of the season finale and lots of things have happened. Is Porsha more concerned now about Lucious or Cookie? What can we expect from Season 4? I don’t think Porsha has that many concerns about Luscious & Cookie. Even though she’s part of the family she kind of stays clear from all the drama, unless Cookie needs her. As far as Season 4, I smell revenge… How has Porsha evolved from her very first appearance in Season 1 until now? In Season 1, Porsha was trying to find all kinds of ways to win Cookie over and prove to her that she knows a lil’ something, only to find herself being shut down all the time. This season, Cookie realizes Porsha is more worth having around than she thinks. I know Cookie has a soft spot for Porsha because she puts up with too many of Porsha’s antics! On screen, Porsha is all the time flashy and confident. How is Ta’Rhonda in real life? I’m confident as well, but I’m also resilient. I’m the type that won’t stop until I get what I want, very competitive & goofy! LOL In “Empire” you are acting among some really talented people. Terrance, Taraji, Naomi, now Demi Moore. What was going on in your mind when you first saw Naomi? What about when you saw Demi Moore on set? I never got a chance to meet Demi Moore, but I had the opportunity to chill with her daughter Rumer a couple of times. She’s so sweet & can dance her ass off. When I first saw Naomi, I thought to myself: “man, she has nice skin & some long ass legs.” LOL. But I didn’t have the guts to say anything to her. We were together in the hair & makeup trailer and she had her eyes closed while getting her makeup done

so I didn’t want to bother her… What do you remember now about your first day on set? Did something out of the blue happened? Everyone was so welcoming! Terrence Howard was the first celebrity I had ever met. He shook my hand and kissed me on the cheek when he introduced himself. Nothing from your life could have predicted that you will end up with an acting carrier in one of the best shows on television. How did the fame changed your life? It changed you also? I am now able to do things I never had the opportunity to do! For example, travel. I never left the city of Chicago up until I landed my role on Empire. I’m able to introduce my family to new things. I had multiple jobs before Empire and didn’t really have a life, now I can finally use the word “LIVING” and I actually mean it! Fame didn’t really change me, IT changed my way of thinking. It makes me wanna grind harder and show the world what I have to offer. It’s different to be a failure in your own eyes, but now that I have people watching me and all my siblings counting on me, there’s no room for messing up! You have worked in a nursery home for 4 years until you went to that audition. How was that experience for you? What’s the most important thing you have learned? The experience is still hard for me to process, but at the same time it’s a blessing. The most important lesson I’ve learned is that time doesn’t wait for anybody and that we have to make sacrifices. I feel like people waste so much time waiting for things to come to them or waste time on things they are not passionate about. I wasted NO time when I got that call stating the role was mine! I quit all of my jobs, not knowing what was in store for me, but I sacrificed it all!

How did your family and your friends reacted when they first saw you on tv. Who gave you the best compliment ever? I can tell everyone is so proud of me! Everyone gets excited when I come around. The best compliment came from my granny. She told me how proud she was of me and she said “while climbing the ladder of success, don’t let the boys look under your dress”. LOL She would also go to dialysis and show all of her friends pictures of her and I together, and whenever I would do a talk show appearance, she would force everyone to watch it. What about your AKA... Lady Heroin. When we will hear a new song? Are you still rapping? I’m releasing a new single soon called “F” up a check”. I never plan to stop rapping; music is my first love! Your life seems to be the exponent of ideal American Dream. I mean... from the “wood” to a mainstream actress. What would you say now to those little girls who are dreaming big but others tell them YOU CAN’T, YOU WON’T? I’m here to tell them “YOU CAN & YOU WILL”! My two rules in life are “LIE & STEAL,” meaning “LIE” down your own rules & “STEAL” every opportunity that comes your way! I saw some You Tube footage from the talk-shows you were invited. You seem to be a very confident woman. Does your presence intimidate men? Absolutely! It’s a little irritating at times, because they feel like they have to be someone else when they’re around me. Never heard of a special someone in your life... Is there a special man who conquered your heart? (Side eye emoji) LOL. Are you kidding me, nope! (emoji smiley face)

What makes you happy? Shopping & food! What do you like to do when you are not on set? There’s nothing like a little family gathering! I get with the family all the time. We cook, play games, talk... A LOT, A LOT. LOL! Describe yourself in 3 words... Peculiar, anointed & wise. What you don’t like about yourself? What would you change about yourself? I don’t like that I’m so hard on myself. Even when I know I did my best, I always find a way to convince myself I could’ve done better. I wouldn’t change a thing about myself, otherwise I wouldn’t be ME! Are you doing now also acting classes? You had no acting studies when you started shooting for Empire... What kind of roles you would love to see yourself playing? I’ve considered acting classes but haven’t gone to any. I definitely want to get into some action films. My dream role is to play some kind of superhero!

“I love the idea of Popsicle Lips”, says makeup artist Garret Gervais, “for hot days at the beach when a hard lip line just doesn’t feel right.” He created this reverse-ombre effect by first covering the entire lip in the palest color. He then applied the most intense color to the center, blending it out towards the edges.

Ashley describes how to recreate this effortless beachy hair - “Spray hair with Paul Mitchell Hot Off The Press for flexible hold and to protect hair from heat damage. In Shawn We Trust Shawn Hatosy on Heroes, Loyalty & The Joy of Fatherhood

Words by Brent Lambert Opposites attract, as the old adage goes, but the same could be said for some actors and the roles they take on. Case in point is 41-year-old Shawn Hatosy who plays Andrew ‘Pope’ Cody on TNT’s Animal Kingdom. While ‘Pope’ is the most brutally violent of all the brothers in the family, Shawn is anything but. As charming as he is sophisticated, Shawn talked to BELLO about the thrill and challenge of playing someone so unlike him, his thoughts on the state of the industry at large, and the joy of fatherhood.

With an impressive 22-year career under his belt, Maryland-born Shawn Hatosy is, alongside Scott Speedman, one of the two seasoned veterans of the male cast of Animal Kingdom. With all that experience to pull from and share with his younger co-stars, I felt it was worth asking if he had any real-life bad-boy episodes from his youth. “I would say there was a degree of ‘wild child’ to my younger years, but not anything like what these guys are up to, what with all the bank robberies and murder [laughing]. But certainly growing up where I grew up, we had our fair share of wild times.” With the recent premiere of the series’ second season, Animal Kingdom has returned once again for another dose of crimefilled drama with the Cody brothers. With Pope being the most savage of the group, I asked Shawn if he’s ever had any moments when a new script arrives and he cringes at the thought of having to pull off what Pope gets up to next. “Oh for sure,” he says. “But I made a conscious decision with Animal Kingdom and this character, that I was never going to limit the writers. So I’ve made it a habit of saying yes -- no matter how absurd or crazy it is. I don’t want them to feel they can’t write something. Even if I’m afraid I always commit. The things that I’m most terrified to do -- I can think of at least three or four this season that have been challenging physically and emotionally -- those are the ones that turned out to be my favorite scenes.” Even though Pope is the roughest of the group, there must be something to his nature that we can admire? Shawn says, “Pope is responsible, he’s loyal, he’s instinctual, but also quite emotionally motivated. He’s somebody that, within the family, you can trust. Those are attributes anyone could enjoy.” Shawn says if he has anything most in common with Pope it would be the trait of loyalty. “I’m a loyal person, and I think in a similar way when something disrupts the trust mechanism in a relationship, I quickly shut it down,” he says. “Once the trust is broken my walls go up. I’m a lot like Pope that way.” With two young boys at home, Shawn has a busy life outside of work as well. I asked him if his kids might one day follow in their dad’s footsteps. “My 10-year-old has been getting heavily involved in theatre, so that’s been a lot of fun to watch. My 4-year-old is really into singing and music. He has really great taste too -- he loves the Beatles.” And sometimes his TV family and real-life one become one and the same. “After the magazine shoot for BELLO, it was right by my house, so all the guys came over and had a couple beers. My kids were home, and they were driving my 4-year-old’s Jeep around. My 4-year-old could not remember Ben’s name. Even to this day he still calls him Bent. Then we all played Rocket on the Xbox with my 10-year-old son. It was a great time.” With a full house, he reminisces about what he enjoyed watching on TV when he was a kid himself. “When I was really young I was into The A-Team and The Dukes of Hazzard, and as I got a little older it was Schwarzenegger and Stallone and Chuck Norris. Anyone who could throw a roundhouse kick, I was into.” As for what he enjoys the most right now, “My favorite is what’s happening on TV right now, like Bloodline, Fargo, I really like Game of Thrones,” he says. “I’m a dad, so anything that has a superhero in it -- we’re there.” Animal Kingdom airs Tuesday nights on TNT.

Dreams, Perseverance & The Power of the Present Moment Words by Brent Lambert Ben Robson really is the whole package. His dreamy GQ looks are matched only by his impressive intellect and gift with words. And thankfully we get to see a whole lot more of Ben in the months ahead, thanks to the recent premiere of Animal Kingdom’s second season on TNT where he returns as Craig Cody, one of the brothers of the notorious Cody crime family. BELLO was lucky enough to catch up with Ben where he opened up about the bliss of living in southern California, the fundamental importance of believing in your dreams, and why the secret to living life to the fullest can always be found in the present moment.

The joy of living in sunny SoCal is not lost on 33-year-old Ben Robson. Even though he’s thousands of miles from his native London, you would be forgiven if you mistook him for a lifelong native of Lalaland. When he’s not on his surfboard, you will find him in the desert on one of his motorbikes. “It’s something I started playing around with on the show and since then I’ve become obsessed with it. I got my own bike and I go up a lot in the desert with the stuntmen. Me and the First Stuntman have become really good friends so I go up a lot with them, which is really fun. It feels like a long way away from home when I’m doing it but I really enjoy it.” California is a veritable heaven for dirtbike lovers, and Ben’s already found his favorite spots. “It’s something I originally did to understand the character better. We’ve done a lot of California City, and then there’s Jawbone Desert which is really fun because of all the steeper inclines. It’s really fun to test yourself on.” Ben adds, “It’s just a really fun way to experience the desert. I think it’s in Cal City where you also have an old gold mine which has been converted into a big dirtbike playground so all the bars and taverns are busy once again because people go there on the weekends with their bikes and friends. It’s kind of this really surreal thing where you have this old historic area completely full of multi-colored motocross outfits -- it’s a funny picture when you look at it, but it’s a really fun way to experience it.” For Ben, sports are about much more than pleasure alone. “[Sports] allow you to check out of anything else that’s going on in your life -that’s why I’ve always enjoyed them so much,” he says. “Whether you’re hitting a tennis ball or catching a wave or riding a bike, you have to be so clear in your mind to be able to play and to achieve what you’re setting out to do in that moment. It brings you back to yourself, to a certain degree, which is difficult now in a society filled with mobile phones, emails, laptops, and all this information coming at us. It’s nice to be able to focus on something that lets you be in the moment. It helps me get closer to what Craig sees as well.” Unlike his newfound love of motorbikes, Ben has been an expert surfer for many years. “Surfing I’ve been doing for longer. I first started learning when I was eighteen, and had a pretty awful experience in Fiji at one point where I nearly drowned and I didn’t surf for another four or five years after. Then I got back onto it and really enjoyed it.” Now Animal Kingdom has given Ben the perfect chance to make surfing more a part of his daily life. “Obviously with this show having such a surf culture to it, I’ve definitely pushed myself a lot more. And obviously now, living in L.A. with such easy access to the water I get in there a lot more. What I love about it is once you’ve experienced and mastered one part of it you move up to the next. And also, it’s a nice sport to share with your friends, just sitting in the ocean and catching up, and then fighting each other for a wave or throwing each other off if you get in each other’s way. It’s fun...something I want to keep challenging myself at to get better.” Challenges are another big part of Ben’s life, for he’s a firm believer in the idea that we discover the most of ourselves only when we’re put through the fire. One of his biggest tests came when he made the decision to leave the security of his life in London and a future in the business world, and make the move to Los Angeles for an uncertain future in the world of acting. “I think it was quite a big thing. I sort of left everything behind to take the risk and ‘buy the lottery ticket.’ You’ve got to trust yourself, and listen to advice -- and know what’s good advice and what’s bad advice. I certainly learned myself. I think on the whole, your gut will lead you in the right direction. You just have to trust you’ve got a good idea of what’s right and wrong for you.” Ben’s road to TV success was a direct result of being courageous enough to take the risk. “It’s fun to put yourself in challenging positions because you grow more as a person when you are forced to grow in difficult circumstances.” His advice to anyone who is thinking of making a similar jump is to know there will be hard times ahead and that it’s important to embrace them as vital. The fear of experiencing those hard times must never eclipse the dream itself. “As high as the highs are, the lows are very low as well. You need your own support system of friends and family when you move into a new life and a new country and a new environment. It was something I hugely underestimated, but at the same time it definitely makes you stronger and you find out a lot about yourself through that process. It’s important to stay focused and stay driven, and never lose sight of what you want. It’s a struggle, but I think as long as you’re always on point of what you’re trying to achieve, you will always persevere.” Animal Kingdom airs Tuesday nights on TNT.

Nirvana In The Pines Words by Brent Lambert At 27, Jake Weary has been working non-stop for half his life. From his early beginnings as Luke Snyder on As The World Turns, to his successful movie career, and his turn as brother-in-crime Deran Cody on TNT’s Animal Kingdom, Jake has worked incredibly hard for all the success he’s earned. With Animal Kingdom now in its brand new second season, we had a chance to speak with Jake about everything from Deran’s journey, to Kurt Cobain, to his own definition of the perfect vacation.

Ask any actor who loves their craft, and they will tell you how remarkable of an experience it is to play a complex character. For Jake Weary, taking on the role of Deran Cody has been a true blessing; not only for the creative rewards of diving into a character so heavy and rich, but also for how it’s brought him so close to his on-screen family. “It feels like we’ve developed a bond that can never be broken because we’ve spent so much time together; especially when you’re in kind of a vulnerable place that performing puts you in, it’s easier for you to take on those feelings and emotions, and it makes that connection even stronger.” And Jake says you know you’re bonding when you start taking on personality characteristics of your TV brothers. “It’s kind of crazy,” he says. “Sometimes if I’m around them a lot, like when we have a couple scenes together back-to-back, I will do something then think to myself, ‘Whoa, that was like a Shawn Hatosy mannerism! What the hell was that?! [laughing].’” Playing someone like Deran Cody, who is fearful of coming out of the closet to his family, has given Jake a fascinating means by which to explore the inner workings of a conflicted heart and soul. “I think for the first time [Deran] is coming into his own and becoming his own person, and realizing what he’s capable of doing. I think he’s interested more than ever about achieving his potential. He’s definitely at a crossroads this season, in that he’s debating whether or not he really wants to be a part of this life of crime that he’s been sort of unwillingly forced into. It’s hard for him because at the end of the day this is his only family -- these are the only people that he has in his life. These are the only people he can sort of ‘trust’ in.” Jake considers Deran to be somewhat of a late-bloomer. “It’s funny because it’s almost a decade too late for him -- it’s like a coming-of-age time for Deran. All these guys are mentally younger than they actually are, so he’s figuring out now what life without [his mother] Smurf (Ellen Barkin) would potentially feel like, and whether it would bring him happiness and freedom, and the ability to just be free to be who he is in his core.” “Over time, we are on this existential quest,” explains Jake when discussing Deran’s journey. “who am I? What is my purpose here? What do I want out of my life? Identity seems like an easy thing to grasp but it’s not -- it’s one of the most complicated aspects of life. I feel like it’s different in Deran’s situation because this is a guy who was born into this family that is highly dysfunctional and highly unorthodox, and I think when the outside world makes its way into the Cody world, I think it’s confusing and misleading for Deran.” In Deran, Jake sees a man facing a struggle that is very common to many people in the modern world. “There’s so much pressure to be this idealized version of yourself, when in reality you’re who you are and you’re born into this body that’s yours, and the only way to truly embrace it is to just be content and embrace who you are as a person. I think for Deran, this season especially, he knows who he is and who he’s meant to be. He’s just had a lot of roadblocks in front him. That’s what life is all about -- learning how to navigate your roadblocks and being content at the same time.” The attraction to playing layered and complex roles is something Jake has had for a very long time. So what would his ultimate dream role be if he could choose it? “For me, right now in my life, the dream role I would want to play at this age and this point of my life, would be to star in a Kurt Cobain biopic.” And when asked who he would choose as his dream co-stars for such a film, Jake said it would be a great way to “work alongside Evan Rachel Wood as Courtney Love.” He adds, “I’m a huge fan of Ethan Hawke and Jude Law and Tom Hanks. I don’t know who they’d play in the biopic, but I would love to throw them all in there. I think playing Kurt Cobain would be extremely challenging and liberating. And also to play all these incredible songs that were such an integral part of my childhood. To dive into that would be such a huge honor.” A lifelong Nirvana fan, Jake waxes nostalgic about how Nirvana played such a big part of his youth, with his favorite Nirvana song of all-time being ‘Heart-Shaped Box.’ “Whenever that song comes on it totally brings me back to growing up in Valencia in the early 90s, my parents, and rollerblading with my dad and my brother and sister,” he adds. With filming of season two now wrapped, it’s time for Jake to start planning his summer, so I asked him if he could describe his definition of the perfect vacation. “Somewhere in the pines, with a campfire and people I love the most, listening to music, watching the sun go down. My brother’s actually getting married at the end of the summer so I’ll be up in the Berkshires in Massachussetts -- I think that’s kind of my ideal summer day. Being up there surrounded by all that pine, and just having a great time around a big bonfire. I’m really looking forward to that.” Animal Kingdom airs Tuesday nights on TNT. 109

Life In Fifth Gear Words by Brent Lambert At the ripe young age of 21, Finn Cole has the world in the palm of his hands. When he’s not globetrotting to the Cannes Film Festival or zipping around L.A. in sports cars with the top down, he’s busy working on his two hit series -- TNT’s Animal Kingdomand BBC’s Peaky Blinders alongside Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy. With Animal Kingdom now revving up season two, we spoke with Finn about his parallel brotherhoods and life in sunny SoCal.

As the fourth of five brothers in his real life, Finn Cole was a natural fit with the cast of Animal Kingdom. Although his onscreen family of four older uncles and matriarch grandmother (Ellen Barkin) bring Finn’s character of Joshua ‘J’ Cody into the fold of the family’s seedy crime business in gritty Oceanside, California (the polar opposite of Finn’s more honorable upbringing back in London) Finn nonetheless finds himself with two families of five guys -- his real one, and his family on TV. “I’ve got four brothers, but they’re vastly different [than my co-stars],” says Finn. “You connect differently with each of your siblings for different reasons.” And with regards to hitting it off with his co-stars Finn said, “We’re all so equally close in different ways. Me and Jake Weary live close to each other so we hang out a lot and play a lot of music together actually. Me, Ben and Jake are closer in age, and the other guys have families and kids so it’s harder for them to be free on the weekends. Molly Gordon and I are also really, really close. That’s something I’m really grateful for -- how we’re all close for different reasons.” Filming in L.A. for interiors and Oceanside for exteriors gives Finn a chance to get close with Southern California as well. With two seasons of the series now under his belt, we asked Finn what his favorite moments have been while living in the region. “There have been so many,” he says. “Obviously, driving a convertible car around LA is a lot of fun, and driving up and down the Pacific Coast Highway.” He adds, “The hiking is incredible, too. I hike a lot in Switzer Falls, about a half-hour drive north of L.A., which is just amazing. But I think my favorite moment so far was with my friend and body double, Shane, who took me out surfing in Oceanside once at sunset. It was just the two of us out there, and it was one of those crazy experiences that I wished everyone could see. It’s something you would never get tired of -- it was just beautiful.” Like his co-star, Ben Robson, Finn is making the most of his time in SoCal with two of his favorite hobbies: surfing and dirtbiking. “I’m just now getting into surfing, and learning the ropes -- it’s just brilliant. I’m also getting into dirtbiking as well, and they’re two things I will keep up with for the rest of my life. Ben and I go together with the stunt coordinator on the show and his family to Cal City and Jawbone, and recently I’ve been doing a lot more on the track, which gets you doing a lot more jumping and corners, which is a really great workout and a lot of fun.” Finn’s affinity for machine-fueled adrenaline boosts doesn’t stop with dirtbikes. When his car recently had to go in the shop for two weeks, Jaguar graciously sent him one of their finest cars during the wait. “My car broke down, so instead of going out and buying a new car, Jaguar hit me up with a loaner for a couple weeks which was really fun, and very generous of them. It’s my favorite car I’ve ever driven!” And what if money was no object and he could have any car his heart desired? “My favorite car of all time would have to be an old Ferrari 330.” In keeping with the supercar theme, we put Finn through a five-gear challenge in the form of a one-word association for each of his co-stars. So what was the first thing that came to mind when we gave him the names of his Animal Kingdom family? Shawn: Kind, Jake: Generous, Ben: Sweet Gentleman, Scott: Funny, Ellen: The Boss.
